Dame Time?

Post#1 » by thunderdunk » Sun Jul 6, 2025 6:19 pm

Just wondering -- any chance the Dubs sign Dame for the vet min for the next 2 years? Yes - he'd be missing for the 25-26 season, but how much do the Dubs need a 15th player anyway? This would give Dame a chance to win a ring in his home town in 26-27, make a new splash brothers tandem, and maybe encourage Giannis to request a trade to GS?

Between the two - Dame or Beal - you gotta go with Beal. (A) He's healthy right now and (B) Dame's coming back from an Achilles tear that could keep him out beyond one season.

I also think Beal is much more likely to get some, if not all, of the ntmle

With Dame, I'm just thinking that he might accept vet min since the Bucks are paying him anyway, he's out for a year, and he's nearing the end of his career, so why not try for a ring with GS?

BTW -- is it possible for the Suns to eat a portion of Beal's contract and include the rest in a trade for JK? Is that possible with ANY player?

So... 3 years and $42M. I guess Portland really wanted him to retire a Blazer. And Beal went to the Clips. It's awfully quiet in Dubs land.

And the "he's so loyal" narrative starts all over again
