Warrior EPM Ranks 25-26

Post#1 » by DonaldSanders » Fri Nov 21, 2025 10:49 pm

From https://dunksandthrees.com/epm/actual

Steph +5.9 (#5)
Jimmy +4.5 (#15)
Moody +1.7 (#59)
Post +0.7 (#106)
Dray +0.3 (#127)
Podz -0.8 (#191)
GPII -0.8 (#192)
Richard -0.9 (#196)
Spencer -1.6 (#235)
TJD -1.6 (#236)
Kuminga -2.7 (#299)
Buddy -3.6 (#343)
Santos -3.7 (#345)
Horford -4.4 (#366 out of 381)

Now it's still too early to put a lot into these metrics, but this does give you a rough take at where everyone is at.

- Steph still has it, one of the best in the league
- Jimmy a bonafide #2/1B
- Moses & Post rising
- Al Horford being 366 out of 381 matches the eye test, yeeesh, with Buddy not far off. These guys have been killing us.

I'll update in another 10 games or so.

Kuminga, Buddy and all our picks for the best player 30m can buy is the move that can put us into contention.

This just shows EPM is doing a good job removing the raw on off data since Curry and Al playing a lot together. They really should play more Post he is stepping up big time even his shots are not dropping sometimes. Trade JK Hield Podz we will still have a chance winning this year

I know people like to bash AIO stats, but EPM has always been one of the best of them IMO, and at this point I feel like it does more or less match the eye test for this team. But it might have a little trouble recognizing guys being played out of their natural/best position, in Kerr's system and with this roster construction, that usually means playing up one or even two positions.

Updates:

Steph +6.0 (#5)
Jimmy +4.6 (#12)
Moody +1.2 (#89)
Post +1.0 (#96)
GPII +0.2 (#139)
Richard -0.3 (#162)
Draymond -.4 (#178)
Podz -1.0 (#219)
Spencer -1.4 (#245)
TJD -1.7 (#257)
Kuminga: -2.5 (#321)
Gui -3.8 (#376)
Buddy -3.8 (#379)
Al -4.1 (#387)

414 total players tracked.

Buddy is #6 in minutes for us, yeesh
Post continues to show he is a real player, deserves more minutes.
GPII has surged a bit, knows the system and just plays his role. Fewer mistakes has helped a lot.
I still think Dray is a bit undervalued overall here (defense is the hardest thing to measure), but his drop has been merited as his offense has been really rough lately.

Buddy needs to be removed from the rotation. I don't care who gets his minutes.

Looking at that top 5, I assumed since they fit naturally in a lineup there must be some large samples of them going on big runs and maybe skewing the numbers.

But they actually have only played 13 minutes together (+18 net rating).

Lets see some more Steph, GP2, Moody, Jimmy, Post lineups please!

Update after the game vs. the Wolves:

Steph +5.9 (tied for 4th with Luka)
Butler +4.7 (#11)
Post +1.8 (#66)
Moody +1.5 (#84)
Richard +0.6 (#116)
Spencer 0.0 (#147)
GPII -0.2 (#163)
Draymond -0.6 (#188)
TJD -0.7 (#203)
Podz -1.2 (#238)
Buddy -3.0 (#357)
Gui -3.1 (#359)
Kuminga -3.2 (#362)
Horford -3.9 (#384)

Of note is that Podz is #1 in minutes played for us and Buddy is #6. MDJ, please take these players away from Steve. Imagine if Moody and Richard got all of Buddy's minutes and most of Podz's minutes.

Interesting to see TJD moving up, which has matched the eye test watching him lately. I didn't want to see him at all to start the year, but he looks like he can stick as a 3rd center.

Naturally as two of the Warriors 5 highest rated players, Richard and Moody played a total of 23 minutes in the last game. Meanwhile, Buddy and Podz played 42 minutes and scored...8 points. But I guess they were in for their defense.

So Porzingis and KAT have better EPM than Wemby....If this adv stats so good, you can't find this nonsense for same positions players. Also Sengun and Post are both in same group, both are around 50th.
