mbenga has brick hands and can't catch the ball either. he can't shoot layups, and some dunks for that matter just like kwame. his defense is meh. he does have some instances where he gets a couple buckets, rebounds, and or blocks. he's not athletic. i think i'd take kwame over him. i think it was the knicks game where he missed a wide open layup and dunk, correct me if i'm wrong please. i think he threw the ball and it ended up hitting the backboard and flying towards half court lol; didn't even touch rim.

shortodom, I told y'all this board is biased. Anything that stands in the way of the great Patrick O'Bryant's greatness must be crushed.
Including Nellie.
And 510 is the worst, in this regard.
Now go back to your board.
And, from one Warriors fan to one Lakers fan... yes, get Webber!
PS Kwame makes $9 mil.

Yup
Mbenga's solid though... so much so that our big man starved team didn't need him at the league minimum... we instead called up Kosta Perovic, who believe it or not, is even worse...
Mbenga played one good game and a ton of terrible ones... complete offensive liability and isn't a great defender.... slightly above average. Can block, but prefers fouling. Can board though, but doesn't belong in anyone's rotation. He's usually the 14th or 15th smartest thing on the court, right behind the basketball.
POB's wasted potential has nothing do with Mbenga being a waste of a roster space.

The only reason Mbenga didn't turn the ball over more was that the whole team recognized that he couldn't catch it about 2 minutes after he got on the court. After that first game, he'd get maybe 1 chance a game to score and only when he was absolutely uncovered next to the basket and he still f'd up at least half of them. Admittedly, Kwame looked horrid the other night but it almost looked like Phil was trying to embarrass him out there by passing him the ball so much.

As stated, he will TRY to play defense and grab rebounds but has difficulty holding the ball (can get several blocks in a row, but will never be able to hold onto the rebound) and the guy he blocked (or one the teammates) will wind up getting the score. Other than that, he's a real nice guy.
