Monta with a stupid foul, very very stupid.

If that were true more teams would do it.

Yes it was. I've gotten used to Monta being total crap on the defensive end, but he wasn't as bad as usual tonight. The Raptors must not have scouted us well and didn't attack him constantly.

Nonsense. The Raptors made a comeback against the starters who were reinserted when Nelson paniced. Fact is our starters played horrible defense all night long. It was a case of we'll just outscore you. In this case we really just traded baskets all game long and the Raptors cooled just a bit in the end.

More teams actually try to have chances at the ring every year... smallball works great until you run into a talented and disciplined team...

Toronto was a great matchup for BW..Who was going to over power him? Rasho? Nellie's willingness to play CJ D League and Gimmick ball > The Young Great BW? Well it's damn right scary.

Can you feel it coming? The Wright on Amare matchup tomorrow? Set your TiVos... it'll likely be the last time we see Wright getting pre Q4 minutes this season :sigh:

You really think so, Reg? That would surprise (pleasantly) the $hit out of me. I almost feel the Brandon (unless another injury to someone) is going to get shut down. Amare would surely be a real test for the rook.
Could you see BWright and AB out there running rings around Shaq? He wouldn't know what hit him. It would also force Amare to play some D for a change instead of just getting fast break dunks.

Calderon is grossly overrated. TJ Ford is legit.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

There's been a sickening pattern all year with Wright... miss a great opportunity to get him some burn, then throw him in the middle of an important game and put him up against someone who can really exploit his weaknesses.

Amare and Shaq down low... I'm guessing that Wright will see the floor and be forced to guard one in the post. Hope I'm wrong but that's been the M.O. this season..

Humphries had what? 10 points? Don't tell me you've bought into the whole +/- thing too?

I'm not sure what you're difficulty understanding +/- has to do with a webpage that shows when which players were actually on the floor and who scored points when. The actual record of the game shows that your post was malarky.

Geez, I didnt even pick on your D boys.

I pointed out that Al and Barnes came off the bench and got toasted by a scrub. That was factually accurate. What's the problem?

I have no problem with you pointing out Al or Thug's lack of defense, but why try to use goofy plus minus to back up what you can see with your own eyes. It also makes no sense to say that a guy scoring 10 points made a huge impact. It just seems a little odd to single those guys out when no one was stepping up on defense last night.

BTW Jackson had a terrific +/- in the first half last night.

Um . . . I didn't say anything about +/-.

The gameflow page shows lots of information other than +/-. The more you hammer on this point the more it just looks like you don't understand the subject at all.

LOL. Well by all means please enlighten me oh wise one. I love how people just throw out something like a game flow or a plus minus and say, well that explains it, don't it. Heh.

I'd rather rely on 24 years of experience and my own eyes to form my opinion.

Dude . . . the gameflow website shows simple things like who played what minutes and what they did while they were on the floor. It's a timeline combined with a boxscore . . . it happens to also have +/- data as well, but the relevant number for this discussion was really as simple as the scoreboard.

I really don't even understand what there possibly is to argue about here.

So I won't. Math is the devil, Barnes and his dead mother should rot in hell.

Peace.

Scoreboards are for stat nerds. They should judge the games based on originality, choreography and artistic expression.

Heh, you had me all excited that you had some super secret insight and then all you come up with is look at the scoreboard? As in the friggin +/-? Good lord.

Look at the scoreboard in the first quarter. How do you think Capn Jack played and how did he contribute to that score? Without actually watching the game, the game flow would lead you to believe something that is far from the truth.

Barnes and his dead mother should rot in hell.

Pretty sad stuff coming from such a "classy" guy. But you know that little comment just makes our original conversation on that subject much more ironic.
