Season Ticket Holder Fanfest

Post#1 » by Chris Porter's Hair » Sun Mar 16, 2008 11:59 pm

Did anyone other than me go to this today? I went last year and ended up pretty irritated. For some reason this year, not only did I decide to go, I decided to bring my 5 year old daughter. To my shock, it was like night and day. I'm not sure if they organized things that much better, or if they scared away lots of people with the way it went last year, but it was a lot of fun. Last year I spent the whole time waiting in long lines in ridiculous crowds. This year we didn't wait for more than a few minutes for anything we wanted to do. I can't say I got to do exactly what I might have done on my own, but my girl had a blast. Pictures can be found here. I'll warn you ahead of time that the majority are just of my kid, but there are a few player shots, a few Warrior Girl shots, and of course, Jim Barnett.

So, they did something right?

I'll believe they've really turned the corner when Biedrins and Ellis are back long term without having to trade Al Harrington for Malik Rose to shave off some cap dollars.

They did indeed.

I'm going to hope the same people organizing the hot dogs for the Fanfest aren't the same people managing the cap to resign Goose and Monta heh

I didn't go this year due to all the reasons you mentioned in the original post. Glad to see you had a good time. I'm glad they turned things around. Last year was a mess. Thanks for sharing.
