Oh, and WTF happened to having Al front centers in the post? He's been playing behind big guys since the AS break and getting crushed. The reason he can't stay out of foul trouble is we stopped playing the team D that let him be effective defending the paint. Now he's just being used as a speedbump and racking up fouls trying to defend the paint in second units with no one else over 6'6 to help. Get him back in front of the bigs and make the weakside guys start helping again.

He's not GARBAGE. He is a player who is still not consistant-though lately his "polish/consistancy/IQ" are looking better. We have HAD plenty of garbage wearing the GSW uni...let's not exaggerate.
Love fest??? The guy played a solid game in the NBA and we won. If he is "garbage" then him giving us 12/8 is pure bonus.
Garbage. Tell me something Pietrus does well. Just one thing. Anything. Just because he hasn't stepped out of bounds a couple of times in two games does not mean he's a good player all of a sudden. I guess the big progress is that he's not making stupid mistakes as much. Well I guess that is progress. But just give him a couple of games.
Sleepy is actually on to something. He punked the Warriors for 4 months. Gotta love him.

The only thing wrong with Pietrus right now is he shouldn't be starting (especially at the 4). I'd rather see Al or better yet Wright (Biedrins and Wright together is my dream come true). Pietrus should be our sixth or 7th man (6th if Al starts) and Barnes should be our 8th and Bukie 9th. Minutes should be distributed based on production during the games (ie maybe Barnes plays 25 if he is on). Pietrus is ideal off the bench as an energy player and should get minutes based on how he plays when he comes in. By starting him at 4, he becomes our biggest liability and is likely to be exploited by the better teams (and coaches) out there. Pietrus at the 4 is how Nellie able to keep his "genius" small ball philosophy at the forefront of our success, but is it really the best "team" we are capable of having out there? Although he is playing well and has become a major contributor, Pietrus is not one of our best five.
Draymond Green: Exemplifies Warrior Leadership, Hustle, Desire, Versatility, Toughness, fearlessness, Grit, Heart,Team Spirit, Sacrifice

I agree with you Souvs on Azu. I would rather he play more than less.
Pietrus has been good lately and his defense is what has really picked up. He's guarding everything from pG's tp PF's.
I don't like him at PF under any circumstance.
As for what he does well: Shot blocking is good from the SF. Rebounding is good from the SF. Defense is better since the deadline.
I think the reason Pete has gotten a pass from fans is because he's so likeable. Even his team likes him. Most guys who would have taken his route of demanding to get out would be thrown out by the team. But they all give him a pass because he's so likeable.
And Souv, how did you like Barnes hammering the AJ when Sac was going to call a TO? It was very thuggish.

All I could do is turn to my wife and say, "damn I can't wait till next season."
Pietrus hasn't been that great on defense this year. He's extremely foul prone. Don't get me wrong, he's trying, but a lot of smoke and waving of hands does not equal great d. But that was a nice block last night, however he'll commit 2 or 3 fouls for every spectacular block.
