dont change anything...its worked since forever. make a change once, then its always going to be changed. keep it consistent. unless of course theres a realignment, then we change things up.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.

I don't see how you don't see this.

If you take lotto picks away from 37 win teams and give them to 50 win teams you are accelerating the imbalance. You already had the worst east teams get bounced by the pingpong balls last year, missing on Oden and Durant. Now this year, the mid level picks are going to go to western teams with 45-50 wins?

I predict a rigged lottery this year. The league needs it.

Whomever misses between ATL, NJ and Phila will jump up to the #1 pick and the envelope will have suspiciously a creased corner. Book it.

This is the first time in history that it happens and probably will never happen again until some time.

35 years ago a 49 win team did not make the playoffs. Next year might be similar but then after that it probably won't be like this again for another 30 years. It's OK, the 9th seed team won't be good enough to win the championship anyway.

i remember the giants missed the playoffs and they won like 103 games a few years back---they were definitely one of the top 4-5 teams in the league and didnt get a chance--kinda screwy

For what it's worth, that led to the MLB we see today, with a wild card. I don't know if they can change the NBA to "properly" fix the imbalance, but I know Sleepy is right on...the fact that the Warriors are going to be picking ahead of East seeds 4-8 is insane...but **** them...they made the system, they can watch as the East continually plays JV. Scary imbalance.

and a East seed from 3-8 wont win a championship either.

realignment should happen before this rule changes.
