That isn't really true. Jrich did not affect our ABILITY to re-sign our own players. His contract could have affected our WILLINGNESS to re-sign our own players. It's an important distinction as more and more good teams seem to be willing, or poised (UTAH, NO) to give up the welfare check and pay some luxury tax to keep thier competitive talent.
Jrich affected our ABILITY to draft Brandan Wright and to potentially sign other team's free agents.

There's no guarantee that JRich would have made the difference.
I like the move still and it really opened the door for monta.
The best thing that happened this year was the emergence of Monta the PG.
What didn't happen was the decent play of Barnes and Petey from last year.
One of them needed to go to open thing up more for Wright. Wright needed to play from the get go and by the end of this year he'd have been a mainstay.
Also the team needed to use the TE and get us some much needed help.
Peteleavt needed to be dealt for something like a future pick.
Obee option needed to be picked up for various reasons.
Jason is a great guy who stood in the way of us moving forward. We got our young PF that we've been after for years.
Now Pietrus and Barnes are standing in the way and you could argue that Baron's beginning to get in the way soon.

How many times have we stated that monta is not and never will be a point gaurd?! he is not a point gaurd. he is not a point gaurd.

It doesn't matter how many times we said "Monta will not be a point guard" because it turns out to not be true. I also said "Monta would not be a point guard" and I was wrong.
Monta made a lot of progress towards becoming a point guard this season. If he can make the same amount of progress next season he will be an above average point guard by the end of the season.
Monta is an above average back up point guard at this time. Monta is a better swing guard than Vinnie Johnson was right now. Now we just need young Isiah Thomas and young Joe Dumars to be all set in the back court for the next 8 years.
Baron makes a passable Isiah but Baron is getting older and won't be comparable to Isiah in 2010-2011.

Playoff teams don't look like this:
Thud
Mbenga
Barnes
CJ
Webber
Pete
Bukie
Yeah.....however the roles got distributed,we did a pisspoor job of using what COULD have been a good bench-and in a related story-developing the talent of the future. I have to assume it was mental laziness on the part of the coaching staff.
If the pet strategy is full out speed-logically you want a 10 man rotation.
If you often lose due to getting outboarded inside by 10-15,logically you want to have more size in the mix. If you are a borderline playoff team and have 3 young rd 1's as mere bench ornaments-logically you want to turn them into real assets ASAP.

Sometimes common sense is a great supplement to genius.
CENSORED... No comment.

Playing with full out speed is what beat Dallas in the Playoffs last year. It's the only chance the Warriors had with this roster.
Maybe you don't need a 10 man rotation for that but you at least have to have an 8 man rotation in which 6,7, and 8 play more than 20 minutes a game. Nellie was too busy shattering the confidence of Barnes, Pietrus and Azubuike too play them 20 minutes a game. Those guys had to reproduce what they did the previous year.
Full out speed worked at times but playing Harrington at Center was taking small ball further than I am comfortable with. If you are going to play Harrington at center the team had better be flying around and the 3 point shots had better be falling. This team on flew in spurts. When Baron walked the ball up because he was too tired to run you knew the Warriors were in trouble.

Monta is top ten right now of young guys I'd want as my starting PG.
Are you telling me that he couldn't play point next to Ray Allen or Rip Hamilton? Or some other accomplished SG?
Just because you say so doesn't mean I'd agree with you.
Monta's passing has been real good this year. You take Baron out of the mix and Tay suddenly has to pass even more.
Even in the rought turnover game he had last night against the Nugs, he had one of the best set-up and passes to Beans in the post for a dunk of anyone.
He can and will be a very good PG or in the mix like he is now as a combo guard along with another combo guard next to him. Either way He's proven he can play the point and be very good.
Don't let your JRich love cloud your view of others.

The fact that JRICH left, allowed Monta to become what he is today,
i'm just really angry at the fact that we didn't use that 10M TE to get something, we could've had more depth on the bench.
In all I'm not to sad about JRICH leaving, cause we got what we see in Monta today, and we also have a nice looking guy on the bench by the name of BWRIGHT yeh.

i really miss J-Rich when i'm playing 2k8, with him the warriors are amazing in that game. But without him i still win 80 percent of games, with him i say 90 percent.
Greatest comment I've ever received.
