And also, my contention was never that the tax is "broken." The tax accomplished exacly what it is supposed to. It makes an NBA franchise a more attractive investment. It works perfectly in that regard. The point of the tax isn't to redistribute talent, it's to redistribute money. That was the gist of the prior discussion that you may not have been around for.

P.P.S. If you are telling me that the Lux tax is NOT a redistributive system then I appreciate you correcting my misconception. There are a million things about the CBA that I'm sure you know that I don't.
I'm operating under the assumption that the Tax takes money from teams that spend over a certain amount and gives money to teams that don't spend more than that amount. Do I have that part right?

How does the playoff revenue get distributed? Obviously there is a direct incentive there for winning, but how much is it and how does it differ between winners and losers?
