I would see Chill helping more if everything else that sucks got fixed first.

I just don't see Josh's inside game (at his tweenerish size) thriving here with our poor ball movement and floor game. I would see him floundering here and relegated to his mediocre jumpshot. At worst he'd be Dunleavy redux . . . at best, he's Bukie with 8 inches of poorly groomed hair.

I just don't see Josh tipping the table for us in any particular direction. I guess beggars shouldn't be choosers considering I spent all season griping about not having NBA qualified depth, but I still want more in terms of refined position skills.

I don't think you get anything from Chill that you wouldn't get from Bukie at 10 more mpg, but I don't really want to see that either (unless he learns to dribble.)

Josh and Kelenna are pretty similar players, but I don't think Kel could do anymore than he did this year. He got extended minutes at the end of the year but he showed he couldn't consistently get the ball in the bucket and handle 30-35 minutes. Plus, Josh is a lot more efficient with his offense and shoots less 3's.

Rebounding wise, they're pretty equivalent, but I thought whenever Kelenna came in and grabbed offensive rebounds for us, that gave us a huge boost especially late in some games, so as Kenny Mayne says, if some is good, more is better.

Sleepy51 wrote:The chucking, lack of ball movement, and Baron's 40mpg are all tied to the weak ball handling. Jack is totally overrated on this board as a ball handler. He makes up his mind about what he's going to do before he puts the ball on the floor. He totally commits to a decision before the floor shapes up. A lot of Jack ISO's end in terrible shot attempts because he doesn't keep his passing options alive despite having the vision of a solid passer. His mediocre handle limits his optons.

I dont buy that... I do buy that his ISOs often wind up going too deep or taking too long, and he winds up taking bad shots.. the actual physical handling and passing? Jax is about as good as any 6'7+ guy in the league... but the mental aspect? Well that's what you get when you give a chucker free passes all year... no fear of getting yanked, why not try that contested 20 footer?

I think Mike Miller is better than either JR Smith or Josh Childress as a guy who fits our needs.

Great 3 point shooter.

Good handles

Decent rebounder

Pretty good passer.

Instant sixth man candidate, or protection starter if someone goes down.

If there's anyway to do a Juan Carlos signing and Mike miller deal, then I'm all over it.

Unless Memphis is taking Al, I don't really see any logical trade proposals that will land us Miller.
