Hmm...interesting how you can rip on Nellie so hard for coming in and making a team better and then leaving but LB gets a free pass.
Also interesting how you can call Baron a disloyal quitter but LB coaches for NINE NBA teams and he is considered some sort of genious deserving of heaps of praise.
Then again...I am just being facetious. It is not interesting, just an inconsistency which goes against logic. I am used to it from you.
But keep up the cute posts. The anti Nellie/Baron/Warriors rants in every thread are sooo zany and clever!
I think Sid was recalling the Championships. That would be the glaring difference between the 2.

Firstly, Larry Brown won one NBA championship, not multiple Championships. So the difference is not so "glaring."
Secondly, when did Don Nelson ever have a team as talented as that Pistons team?
Chauncey Billups/Chucky Atkins/L.Hunter
Rip Hamilton/Bob Sura
Tayshaun Prince/Corliss Williamson
Rasheed Wallace/Mehmet Okur
Ben Wallace/Elden Campbell
That team was ridiculously good and incredibly deep. If we had a bench like that this year we could have won 55-60 games.
And by the way...
Larry Brown has won 56% of the NBA games that he has coached.
Don Nelson has won 57% of the NBA games that he has coached.
And yet despite the similarities in their records and their bouncing around to different teams (although Brown has done it much more often) one is a maverick genious and the other an "old dumb bastard."
Its just another example of ridiculous bias leading to blatant hypocrisy, I tells ya!

Sorry for the slight of hand. But you're such an easy mark.
I tend to agree with your premise though so no need to be such a prick all the time.
I know that he won a championship at Kansas. But this isn't college. Just ask Mike Montgomery and Rick Pitino what having college success means in the NBA.
I could cite Don Nelsons Gold Medal coaching team USA but, like NCAA championships, thats not cogent to the argument at hand.
Thanks for agreeing with my premise though, even if you thought it necessary to call me a prick.
