dream offseason: compete now & keep youth

Post#1 » by fluffhead » Mon May 19, 2008 11:23 pm

1- harrington & perovic for kirlenko (perfect pf for nelly)
2- belli for crittenton (young big pg who could work perfectly w/ monta)
3- te & 14 for artest & moore (artest could help compete for a championship now and moore would be a great backup big)
4- resign pietrus (good backup used sparingly)

baron crittenton
s-jax monta
artest pietrus
ak wright
biedrins moore

this team could compete for a title next season plus it has building blocks for the future in ab,bw,monta, critt

Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

If we wanted Crittenton, we would of gotten him than Belinelli.

That I like the re-sign Pietrus part best ought to ay a lot. Kirilenko has issues...Artest ,is a SYNONYM for "has issues" Togather...a really expensive time bomb. We got lucky--so far with Jax. One bomb ticking but hasn't gone off. So...lets try 2 more/ That's Knicks-think,Russian roulette with a rap soundtrack.

Crittendon may yet be a better SG than Belli. I'm not convinced he'll be a better PG than Watson.

TE + 14 for Artest? We have an owner trying to trim costs. Splurge on Artest--and he wants a big cut elsewhere. Artest will soon want MO MONEY.
Mister 14 will work cheap for quite a while. Who thinks Cohen is okay with a $10 mill lux tax hit?

Oh boy.....I nearly missed that. Monta >>> Artest + AK and he's a bench guy?

We get slower and we pack the lineup with streak shooters/bad shot selection and mental cases. Could work. Monkey's could fly out of my butt and this gang of wingnuts could turn into contenders. :scatter:

I just have a bad feeling about the whole thing...including the side effects of all those monkeys. :o

His dream is more like my nightmare.

Have you looked at Kirilenko's contract recently? He's making almost $50 million over the next 3 years. Artest is a crazy mof and I want him nowhere near this team, especially at the expense of the #14 pick. Hopefully Pietrus will be long gone by the time next season rolls around. The last thing we need is another inconsistent chucker from behind the arc, with the IQ of a carrot to boot.
