Abusive?

I thought we were having fun here. Don't get all thin skinned on me now. This has been the most entertaining discussion you've been involved in since you joined the board and you know it!

It was more fun to be a Warrior fan pre-Cohan but there was real excitement with Musselman and the team improving two years running and I'm ready for life after Baron. Very excited, even if the rich online bloggers you should be concerned about the impartiality of are now re-mounting the "Monta can't play point guard" act for no fruitful ends. But that "other" forum rarely impresses me.

We used to have more sets of tickets than we do now but the dry spell meant folks who used to eat them up no longer felt compelled to go. Our Giants seats were the hot commodity. The bottom line has always been that the overhead is not a problem and the seats are filled more often than not.

Sorry.

I'm going to be totally spoiled for Warrior games in the future unless the team gets REALLY good, or Ellison builds a brand new areana.

Going from seeing games at Staples to American Airlines in Miami makes attending the Mt. Davis/Sobrante Park Colesium something of a letdown. The well run organizations do EVERYHTING better than we do.

This post doesn't make any sense. Now I think YOU've been drinking. I'll chalk it up to attempted misdirection and obfuscation to avoid the subject of your hypocrisy/shillitude.

You're talking about two of the largest markets in the country and two regular luxury tax contributors. Not a realistic comparison. But among the teams who stay below the tax threshold at all costs, the Oracle Arena is a very nice place to go. The redo was pretty good. I didn't enjoy heading to San Jose while it got done but I certainly enjoyed the All Star game. Cohan got what he deserved. I'd do it again if the team doesn't have this s :censored: t figured out now. Not sure what your problem is. If you've been to arenas that are NOT in major media markets with bottomless owner pockets, you'll see what I mean. And why Seattle is kidding itself.

Em Dzhei wrote:1) Baron + 49 for Chauncey + 29

2) Pietrus+ Al+ 2009 1st(2nd) rounder for Marion

Both trade partners are willing to try big trades and these are pieces they could likely move..

Dont know bout you but i would like

Chauncey, draftee 29
Tay, Beli, Azu
Jax, Barnes
Marion, Wright, draftee 14
AB, Kosta

We would have decent D, could shoot, could run, could board..

as borat would say: i like..

we would not be too deep though.. and im pretty scared of jax with no bd to keep him in line..

With the picks.. we could trade up to take Westbrook, or try to snatch Alexander and Buddinger.. All are crazy athletic players, which translates into defense, boards and toughness..

Westbrook is a bit too much like trying to make Pietrus a PG. There's just too much to do to just make him a backup PG. SG? Well....he can't shoot.
Alexander impresses me for his rapid rise from obscurity and when it comes to athletic he smoked everyone at the combine. I don't see Buddinger as much for boards or toughness.

If we trade up....it's probably to get Love at 8-12. I don't think we'd pay the price to move higher. I wouldn't do Westbrook at 14. He's too "Project" and we flunked that subject.

ROWELL wrote:No, Baron was crap until Don Nelson arrived, who did not arrive until the Mike Montgomery era ended. And Robert Rowell is not responsible for Mike Montgomery being hired to coach the Warriors, including Baron Davis.

I was more upset by the Arenas botch (which was Cohan's fault as much as it was league rules) than excited by the Davis acquisition and continue to feel that way.

When Baron first arrived the Warriors went on a major roll. Since Baron was new...Monty let him run and improv and He juiced up the whole team. Even the various scapegoats prior to this crop played their best ball. Monty bogged down a team that needed to run. Nellie made a team with talent play like it was a desperate underdog that needs gimmicks and a run of luck. Both coaches were almost polar opposites but neither could adapt his rigid preconceptions to the realities of what players we had at any point.

I've never seen a full breakdown on the Arenas matter. I think that there was a point where had GSW committed earlier-then he doesn't escape. We were slow to even see what we had-then slow to take steps. About when it was clear he had star quality----THEN it was too damn late to do anything.

There was no way that the Warriors would be able to pay Arenas what the Bullets could. It was a stupid rule and was quickly changed under the new CBA. Arenas alluded to a handshake deal he wanted from the Warriors, which was illegal...see Joe Smith. The Warriors in hindsight, should have signed Arenas to a 3 year deal instead of the normal 2 year deal for second rounders.

Mullin, Rowell, and all those dudes get too much credit. its the dudes on the hardwood that do all the work.

Mullin and Rowell just have to a put a top 8 product on the court (financially, talentwise, whatever). Its up to the Players and Coaching staff to make it work.

You can have all the talent on the court and if they dont win its, the players and coaches fault.

But when you dont have enough talent and the players and coaching staff maximize all they can do its the FO fault. Thats means all of them. Its not Mullins fault, its not Rowells fault. Its all of their faults. Theyre just as much a team as the dudes on the hardwood.

The Warriors didnt have enough talent to bang out West, but we sure played that way. The Warriors didnt have top 8 talent this season. Thats why i praise Nellie and Co (esp. Baron). Because they busted their asses off this season when we had no right trying to make the playoffs. Optimism wanted us to believe we were top 8, reality was that we werent.

Nellie and the 13 guys were the hardest working players this season.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.

no but i loved the fact we were able get a hold of desireable free agents...

C.J. Watson was a huge pickup for Mullin and Company. The signing of Kosta was the move that will bring us closer than ever...Cant forget Mbenga.

Man these guys had a tough offseason reeling in these tough ass free agents.

All these free agents made it a lot easier for the team.

im really confused on this Rowell dude (the real guy not the cool poster)

so his job is just to cut costs? he doesnt care about bringing in revenue? because if he wanted to do so, id try and bring a more entertaining team for the world to watch...so we can get games on ABC. thats where millions of dollars can be generated. im not talking about selling the Arena out and selling jerseys in the Bay Area. im talking about main stage sch!t. The Warriors are in a top 6 media market. he should use that to his advantage.

theres soooooo much money to be made in sports that its endless. being in the national spotlight helps. adidas is bringing out more warriors apparel (cousin works for adidas and there spending good money on the warriors for next season...us and the hornets)

I can't even read your stuff anymore... "CJ Watson was a huge pickup for us"?

CJ WATSON?

Yet Brandan Wright isn't ready. Yet POB's a bust. Yet Baron's a hard worker and our best player.

And CJ Watson was a huge pickup.

Two violations within one half hour.
I'd cool it. You're not making friends or generating any respect for your positions with these reactions.
