Mock Draft Help: Trade proposal

Post#1 » by CRHeel94 » Tue Jun 17, 2008 6:54 pm

Hey Warrior fans, I'm a visitor over from the Miami Heat board.

Anyways, I was interested in hearing opinions on a trade that is being discussed in a mock draft on another site.

Assume the following:
-Baron Davis will not opt out, but will eventually walk.
-Your owner is not economically challenged going forward.

GS Trades:
-Baron Davis
-Al Harrington
-Belinelli
-2008 second rounder

NY Trades:
-Zach Randolph
-Jamal Crawford
-Nate Robinson
-Wilson Chandler
-2008 first rounder (used on DeAndre Jordan)

Would you as Warrior fans do that deal?

you said ZBO in a trade to the Warriors... that should be your answer alone right there.. but just in case you want to know.. that would be a NO, followed with a changed phone number so Walsh wouldnt be able to call Mullin again

oh, counter.. #14 pick and Kosta for #2 pick in Miami.. how does that sound.... probably just about as well as the Warriors think of the horrible knicks offer

I would under the condition that we could then -

GS Trades:
-Zach Randolph
-Robinson
-#14

Detroit Trades:
-Chauncey Billups
-Jason Maxiell
-#29

new GS lineup would be -

Billups
Ellis/Crawford/(CDR/Lee or Walker with the #29)
Jackson/Chandler/Randolph (with the #6)
Maxiell/Wright
Beidrins

thanks for the sig Boogie!

I can't imagine ANYONE likes this mess. On top of a HORRID deal the Warriors blow pick #6 on Jordan who really has yet to show he's a top 20 prospect.

Randolph + Crawford can score..but neither plays any D. Zach's contract is brutal, though he'll probably get killed in a bar fight before he expires. If you remove Baron,Crawford,Zach....then maybe I'd do it....though then there's no offset to Harrington's contract-so it's not possible.

I do like Nate Robinson, but he would not have much role for the Warriors. I don't see ANY Knicks package I'd trade Baron for. That we trade 2 starters we LIKE + last years rd 1 + a 2 ....eat 2 bad contracts....just for Nate and a pick ( Jordan.... :banghead: ....not) Is FAR FAR from happening.
CENSORED... No comment.

Randolph to Golden State is a non-starter. Deal dead on arrival.

Aside from that, it's still a horrid deal for us. We MIGHT do Baron for Marbury's expiring and the #6. MAYBE. Taking back Randolph and Crawford? Not a chance.

Jordan was taken by the Knicks GM.
A huge reach, given what's on the board.

Return to Golden State Warriors
