This trade would ruin the warriors.
Odom is just as dumb as Pietrus.

Do you have brains? Pietrus is not dumb. He is a good player, and he is human, he makes mistakes. He learns from them, and play better. The reason why I like him so much. Have Kobe stand in the corner, sooner or later he will step out of bounds. They are all human.

Would do it in a heartbeat, but I think since LA's close to a ring, we could extract more. Throw in Ariza so we dont have to draft an athletic fool like the French Allstar again... I'd also like to see if we can convince the Sonics to trade the #24 to us for Farmar + us taking back Damien Wilkins...

Draft Rush #14, Chalmers #24

Monta / Chalmers
Jackson / Rush
Odom / Wright / Rush
Harrington / Wright
Biedrins / Harrington

But probably not enough gimmick for our guys in charge. We'd have 3 guys who are comfortable with the ball in their hands in the lineup... Chalmers and Rush can fill in seamlessly... Odom's horrible post defense gets masked and we have to suffer through his only slightly terrible perimeter defense.

I have not been a fan of Odom, but warmed up a little this last season... maybe it was the 23/21/5 he threw down against the Warriors in Oakland.

His versatility would definitely be appreciated and used here. He's better suited to being a #2, or really, #3 option though. Without Baron, I don't know if the Warriors have enough stars to enable that.

And LA - do they really need a ball-dominating PG gumming up the works? With all of his Championships, when was the last time Phil Jackson had a top-notch PG? Never? Does not seem to suit the triangle offense.

Not a bad trade at all. Though Wright at SF isn't going to work well under Nellie. I would like to see Al moved in a separate deal to free up time for Wright.

I guess I didn't think or worry much about whether Wright was playing SF or PF, as that he and Odom were playing the two positions between them. Somehow if I say Odom is the SF and Wright is the PF I guess it sounds better, but not sure how much it matters.

Unless Wright developed an outside shot, I don't see him playing SF that much. Odom at SF wasn't something I had thought about and that is a viable option.

Funny thing is... Nellie will put Odom as center and Beans still gets the shaft.

^^^^^^
Odom will be backup for Biedrins at best, Biedrins > Odom at center.
