Gerald Green is a knucklehead. Richard Hendrix is a coaches son that understands the game.

Hendrix has Al's problem...getting air between his feet and the ground. Hendrix also has a case of the Murphy's...slow.

No matter how slow he is, I think he'll be grabbing all kinds of rebounds,
and that's the thing we were looking for.. and I hope he fills in that
rebounder/enforcer spot we needed last season.

Hops aren't the pre-requisite for rebounding (just for dunking) it's positioning and instinct. Ask Larry Bird who I think jumped about 2 inches off the ground if I'm not mistaken.

How do you figure he is slow? He had a pretty average 3/4 court sprint speed out of the pf's in the draft (3.27 to Beasley 3.24 for example), but his lane agility, which I see as being much more important for a post player, was a 2008 best of 10.62 seconds, while the next best was Beasley at 11.06 s. In fact, since 2000, that is the fourth fastest recorded time in lane agility by a pf prospect. Ike Diogu rcord a 3.45 3/4 sprint and 11.94 lane agility for comparison's sake. Murphy actually had a decent 11.22 in lane agility, but he also weighed 230 lbs at the time. BTW Okafor has the slowest time ever recorded at 14.45 s. Now this isn't the end all be all regarding his quickness, but I think he should be able to hold his own in this league, especially against bruisers like Millsap and Boozer.

hes here to create contact in the lane. im sure people will think twice when hes in the lane. i know the Warrior do/did against Millsap.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010
