If Pietrus lands on a team that won't wait a few years to teach him some fundamentals and put him in a role he fits...look out. Teams rave about "athleticism" in draft prospects (ill-defined) but then fuss when it takes some SKILL to teach such guys SKILLS. We don't really develop guys a lot. Some, like Monta, are instinctive enough to learn just by doing it. Biedrins mostly was taught to not foul out. Otherwise he mostly has the game he started with. The B Wright who got fragments of play late season looked like a rusty version of what he was at UNC.

Baron and 2 lotto picks leave and we get......nothing. Well.....we earned that. Baron was our star, leader, core guy and Mullin left him hang..I guess as some bluff to save Cohen some money.

J Rich..Baron...Arenas....Jamison. Each had his 20+ pt season here and out....we lost 90 points worth of scoring and got Be Right..who we then didn't play.

Next....Monta. Soon he's the 20 pt scorer with a big deal and there will be some excuse to trade him for the next Evan Eschmeyer + Popeye Jones.

I hope I'm wrong..we get Josh Smith,we keep our RFA's we pull off a crafty deal and a meteor hits Los Angelus. Even 3 out of those 4 would be a relief.

My big bitch is that we ought to have got 3 solid rd 1 picks for POB..Pietrus..Baron but found a way to turn our gold into gravel. WTF.....Dunleavy,Murphy,J Rich...Ike, are gone too. Do we KNOW if we just always draft the WRONG guy...or if we draft the RIGHT guy and make him wrong?

You could make an All Star team out of who we could have drafted. You could make a pretty good team of who we had and let get away.

I'm sick of it.

Maybe we're tanking for Hansborough?
