if Tatum isn't on the market that's fine, just thought it makes sense given that Hayward/Tatum are both gonna be asking for large contracts soon, and you already gave one to Brown, this way you can keep Brown/Hayward and have a C prospect on a rookie deal.

but that counteroffer ain't gonna happen.

You are not trading a 21 years old future All Star, to keep a 31 years old, $34 million contract small forward.

Hayward has a player option next summer. Don't be surprised if Ainge trade Hayward before the deadline.

And even if Gallon is playing PF, it doesn't matter next to Draymond because Drains guards 3, 4, and 5. Gallo can guard 3 and 4. Convington can guard 3 and 4. Also switch out on 2s.

Fit isn't a problem at all. Gallo's injury history is a problem.

Not saying I'm a proponent of that deal, but the money can work.

Hard Cap. GS just had no room to work with. GS has to take back less salary, they can't be adding salary in a deal (and they can't be making up the difference with extra bodies as they'd have to resign guys to refill the roster. Even sending Looney out doesn't work. Gallo + Cov is 22.6 + 11.3 = 33.9. DLo + Looney is 27.3 + 4.5 = 31.8

But don't they just have to get under the hard cap by Summer time? I thought they had until the end of the calendar season to get under the number?

No. Once you're hard-capped you can never be over the cap at any time that season. GS can't add salary until July.

Lakers, Clippers, Mavs, Pacers, and Raptors are looking at Burks. They could be interested in Evans or WCS as filler.

I can't see Ws trading with the Lakers, but they may do a:
Warriors get Kyle Kuzma + protected FRP
Lakers get Alec Burks and Jacob Evans

don't flex nuts on me bruh, if Tatum isn't on the market we move away from any deal no problem.

and obviously if Hayward is traded that changes thing, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that either.

1. KAT is gonna get Davis type return

2. he is in year 1 of a 5 year deal, he's not going anywhere for a few years at least

i like to keep things interesting but let's stay somewhat realistic

People need to realize that even if you get the 1st pick, this draft's 1st pick does not hold anywhere close to the value that is in a vacuum

I'm not a mind reader. What are you talking about? Do you want to keep Evans like the brass?

You think it's possible to get Kyle Kuzma via Burks with Evans or WCS as fillers? I'm confused as to why you even think the Lakers would take that deal. Kyle Kuzma isn't anything great, but he's better than a 1 year rental of Burks and WCS, or Evans.

Evans is due for a great game.

You know everyone is tossing out ideas for trades and using the trade exception but doesn't the draft come before the end of the season and the start of free agency?

So the Warriors' draft pick will have to be used before any trades may be made.

Well certainly before they can use the $17 million trade exception they got for Iggy?

So they may have to try to trade that pick and players before the trade deadline. But then nobody will know what that pick will be. It could be #1 or it could be #8.

I don't think anybody here has suggested using our 2020 1st to bundle with the TPE have they? There isn't a player available that would be worth it. I would have no problem using a future 1st though.

The draft itself takes place on June 26, 2020, and the lottery is on May 20. The last day of the regular season is April 15.
