The bloke could stayed with his mates and the team that drafted him, possibly have four rings by now being part of a cohesive unit and forever etched in Warrior folk law. Instead, he chased the extra bucks and played basically his whole career on an inept backwater losing team.

Hope that extra big plasma on the wall made all the difference.

What the hell are you talking about? He didn’t have a choice. They pulled his QO as soon as KD said yes.

He made his choice when he turned down the 4yr/$64M extension before the 15-16 season, which would have prevented him becoming a RFA.

First of all, if you browse the King forums, Poole for #4 is highly unlikely.

Kings are going to try to trade down a few spots and collect a lot of assets.

It's not even clear they are that interested in Poole since they have Fox and Mitchell. They had a lights-out shooter in Hield but they didn't want to keep paying him over $20 million so why would they take Poole?

was never really much of a shot of it happening, but the Knicks wanting to shed Noel and Burks for pure capspace is a bummer. Could have been a couple quality fits here

I find it interesting that I haven't seen his name in any of the proposed trade scenarios, so is all interest in Jalen Suggs gone at this point? Last offseason we all would've given up Kuminga, Moody & Poole for the opportunity to draft Suggs. Now, with Orlando desperate to find a primary scorer the Dubs could probably get Suggs & a draft pick or two for Jordan if extension talks don't go well. I love Jordan's mentality and what he adds to this team but it still seems to me that Suggs would be a perfect fit on this roster and could ultimately be the better "16 game player" long term.

Doubtful Orlando gives up on Suggs after one season.

Especially since they'd have to pay Poole after next season.

Suggs had a terrible rookie season tbh (36% from the field??). I'm not sure he's ready to play for a contender.

I agree. I wouldn't get so caught up in his rookie shooting percentage. Poole also shot horrible in his first year. He would fit great next to Steph. But I too don't see Orlando turning the page on him this early.

But Poole was suppose to be a shooter and Suggs has questions about his shooting.

Suggs is not a great FT shooter either so no reason to think he will become a very good shooter from distance.

Marcus Smart was the #6 pick but he shot so poorly for like his first 5 seasons.

Now he's an okay shooter, but I think maybe only average or below average from 3. Still he's capable of hitting a half dozen 3s if left open.

So maybe Suggs will improve.

I thought the Beal trade proposals were dumb then. But they're even dumber now. I guess people like him just like either being wrong so much or do it for the traffic. Trade the guy who just proved his worth in the Finals for some guy who throws the lineups out of wack.

That Nick Wright dude just wakes up and starts thinking of ways to be a complete buffoon. and get's paid handsomely for it. Perkins is coming for his title, but right now that guy (I think it's a guy) is the most unwatchable person paid to speak about sports.

LOL. You obviously don't waste your time watching Skip Bayless.

I actually like Skip. He is on a show that is there just to make those crazy takes. But Wright and Perk, and JJ and co. turn up on these short clipped panel pieces that should be there to just report on the game and give solid basketball analysis and feedback, and he just vomits everywhere on them. He's also ugly as all heck, just a really polarising individual to enter onto a screen, I turn it off the second I realise it's him on it.

Bayless was offering crazy takes long before he was on anybody's TV show. He's also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, which would be enough for me to despise him, but he's earned my despite in many, many other ways over the years.
