Looking forward, I hope Wiseman is healthy enough to be able to train in the off-season, strengthening his knee as well, and coming into training camp 100%.

I'd rather think this is not an Andrew Bynum situation, and that the team doctors are being extremely cautious with him, as we are nearing the end of the season and he wasn't supposed to be able to contribute much anyway.

Fultz got traded after 2 years as the number 1 pick. Anything can happen.

Wiseman’s progression has taken a hit after this news. Should we look to salvage this opportunity to trade for a proven player? Curry and gang don’t have time to waste on what looks to be a top 3 nba draft bus/ Sam Bowie-type draft pick where there was another player who was better for our situation aka MJ.

I’d be surprised if anyone wanted him at this point to be honest. We’d probably have to attach a pick to him in order to offload him.

what will ultimately happen is warriors will hold onto him until his rookie contracts ends and he’s due for an extension. They’re gonna low-ball him or not grant him an extension because he hasn’t shown his potential if he’s hurt and inconsistent most of the time. And he’s going to sign with another ballclub as an UFA, and we get nothing from it.

Just want the FO to admit they’ve botched this pick royally instead of telling the world he has a very bright future.. at least somewhere else he will because he doesn’t fit in with what they do (Or at least it’s going to take awhile for Wiseman to develop those skills).

Big men are always tantalizing prospects, yet they rarely work out. Either due to injuries or lack of functional athleticism.

Why on earth do you want them to do that? What part of your brain makes you think that would be a good idea even if they believed it?

Yeah I just don't get this perspective at all. What world do you live in where NBA teams need to give shareholder meetings with knee jerk reactions to every player's potential? Do you want Bob Myers to get up there and say 'shoudla drafted LaMelo, we'll take scraps for James' - when has that ever happened?

He does have a bright future because he is a 7+ foot player who displayed NBA level skills, NBA level athleticism and a diverse range of ability. He is also turning 21 this month, barely played in college and has barely played in the NBA. They aren't coming out saying he's Hakeem. They aren't coming out saying he doesn't need to improve a ton. They're basically saying he has untapped potential and you can't tap it when he has a torn meniscus.

He's missed almost 2 years with a meniscus tear (an injury most guys are back from in a few months). Let that sink in.

He's a bust.

He was injured on April 10, 2021 and had surgery on the 15th. It hasn't even been a full year....let that sink in.

Are you saying that most guys who have the same procedure he had are back in a few months? Or that he should have had a different procedure with a shorter recovery time? Clarification would be appreciated! Thanks.

Also, your post stated that he’s missed almost 2 years with the meniscus injury. Now I’m sure we can agree that April 10, 2021 is less than one year ago. So that clearly isn’t “almost 2 years” ago. Only a troll who should be banned would say that it is.

To keep the mods from unfairly banning you, it would be great if you could explain things for us dummies. Thanks buddy!

Jonathan Issacs has been out almost 2 years from ACL and meniscus injury.

Still hopeful for Wiseman but it's been a frustrating journey. Sure wish there was a way we could trade him for Okongwu.

Shut down for the season, officially. Can't wait to hear the reactions. Because 8 games at 10 mpg to end the year would have made all the difference.

There was hope he could provide much needed front court help in the playoffs against the likes of Jokic/Ayton/Towns/Zubac/Valaciunas etc.

Ball and edwards aside the 2020 draft is looking pretty garbage right now!

Seriously?

Wiseman must be over this franchise. His knee swells and they shut him down again... indefinitely? Just trade him already to another team that isn't totally pedantic. Talk about handling an injury with kid gloves.

Ridiculous.
