The Warriors will need to renounce Klay's rights and trade Iguodala for peanuts.

I think the situation is that the national media WANTS KD to leave, or at the very least are desperate for something easy to write about so they are creating the narrative. What bugs me is that the constant talk may convince KD to want to leave.

Almost 100% KD is staying. He said it's about the money and nobody can pay him what the Warriors can.

They played up the fact that KD took a tour of Chase just the other day, how they were showing him where he’d park and so on.

Bill Simmons speculated that if the Warriors won, he could walk away after 3 straight to go to the “next chapter” in his career, like Lebron has had many chapters in his career.

But if the Warriors win this year, they’d have a chance to go for 4 straight, which only the Celtics in the 60s pulled off.

Why would he walk away from a chance to make history? 3 peat is a big deal but going beyond MJ, Kobe and Shaq?

Because those guys do not think KD (or Steph and co.), can win it 4 straight. In addition, their little brains think 3-peat is the ultimate achievement which cannot be topped. So their rationale is once KD gets a 3-peat, he can walk away.

It sounds like one of those under-educated families that has a kid going to college, and it is like a historic goal achieved. Yup, that's Billy's mind for the NBA.

Not saying we can 3-peat for sure this season. Just saying how they think “oh he will move on after 3-peating”.

Simmons wants KD to join the Celtics or go to another team so the Celtics have a higher chance to win the title, that's where his speculation comes in. KD being involved in the new arena bodes well for him staying, you wouldn't care about it if you wanted to leave.

Yeah but KD could have eliminated all this speculation by saying he plans to re-sign, as Kyrie Irving has done.

Or sign a long-term deal last summer instead of another 1-year deal that makes him a UFA in July.

Even if he does end up re-signing, he allowed some smoke out.

I don't think Bill has speculated KD going to the Celtics, nor do I think he wants him there. Simmons is BIG on the current small forwards on the team.

KD didn't sign a longer deal last year to max out his potential earning.

Kyrie said he'd stay in Boston because, I assume, he got some assurances from ownership that they'd pay him what he wanted. I also assume KD hasn't said that because either he hasn't been told that or because he wants to be winded and dined again.

Still think it's significantly more likely he stays than goes.

Bill is a massive KD stan which you can tell how he slobers over him when he interviews him in his podcast, he'd give his left nut to have KD join them in the summer if it was feasible.

New article talking how the Warriors .org using the land to make money as a developer and commercial RE.

Again the little minds of Bobby Marks etc will be surprised when some team can actually afford a $200-$250m payroll.

Oh the lux tax he and the little minded friends say. New Orleans or Memphis can’t afford it how can you do it?

Speculation is that when they pitched to KD, Someone on the Warriors, maybe a Draymond, said or implied that Warriors will win more titles with or without him.

KD supposedly was offended by the implication.

So he may jump on another team to try to win without the Warriors.

The official story was that Draymond said they’d win more together. But now, with Dray supposedly calling KD a bitch, that may be out the window.

Bet this is the drama David West was talking about and now the dirty laundry is out.

If KD does leave, it won't be because of this.

Winning is hard. It is not all roses. Kerr got punched in the face by MJ.

1 game suspension means something did happen. But no one should expect winning to be a smooth bus ride.

Not in the NBA. Not even in an office environment.

The national media did this for years in OKC constantly telling Kev and Russ two co-stars cannot exist side by side as equals, one had to be sub-ordinate or one has to leave.

No matter how many times each talked about loving being on the floor together and how much they respected each other the media simply could not let that narrative die, ultimately I imagine it did start to seep into Durants head. Go back and listen to Kev's MVP acceptance speech to see what I am talking about.

Post game press conference, KD is wearing a Redskins cap and stone faced about it, curt in his answers.

During the game, in the 4th quarter when he was on the bench, he was seated next to Curry with his arms folded, not talking to anyone.

Not a good look for the Warriors.

Not a good look for Durant. Dude is acting like a whiny pouty baby. Maybe he should remember STEPH, DRAY, KLAY, DALA, KERR BUILT this ****. And he decided to join up. Check yourself Mr Entitled.

If KD really going to leave the best situation to get possibly 3 and 4 consecutive titles over a butting of heads in November then he has a serious detatchement from reality. Hopefully he will chalk this up to emotions getting best of everybody in that game, but with any sense he knows leaving to go to Lakers, Wizards, Knicks, etc would be a horrible move. The same people who want him out of GS will turn around and mock him from leaving a winning organization that could continue to win more. Both Draymond and KD need to patch this one up and refocus on this year. Not next. This year.
