He sure could be special. That crossover and the spin move at the end were nasty.

If Wiseman is so good as these training videos show, then Warriors got a very very special player and maybe they will be serious contenders this year.
He seems impressive, a lot better than 1 year ago in college

At least his body type is not heavy set. More easier on his muscles and joints. I hope the training staff leaves him to develop on his own. Troy Murphy used to be athletic before they turned him into big Shaq.

I have always hoped that his game and body type would end up being more AD than Embiid. I have no worries that our current training staff resembles anything close to what the Warriors were rolling out during the Cohen error.

As soon as Murphy signed a big extension, he was done mentally. Same with our Latvian.

blaming it on the training staff?

I hope the staff takes the approach of maximizing his health and letting his body develop naturally (or as naturally as possible)

I think he had a foot injury because they wanted him to bulk up. Playing injured not the best motivator.

As for the Latvian, the culture was rotten at that time. Everyone at the Warriors were all about I’m going to get mine. Rowell, Baron, Nellie, Jackson were all about playing poker with office politics.

I’ve just come up with an epic nickname for James which I will be rolling out from now on. This one will be trademarked and possibly patented to me, that’s how good it is.

In an ode to Scorcese’s Goodfellas, I’m going with, Jimmy Wiseguy.

The more think about it the more I like the pick. The valuation of wings vs bigs is in a state that building with bigs is being massively underrated. I feel even AD would be underrated right now if he was is in a class with good wing prospects. There’s currently a warped evaluation of prospects in a way that I think a year like this where the wing prospects need next level squinting for impact to be a star that I think getting a big who actually looks to have the baselines for a good big but also has the possibility of developing the characteristics to make your big game changing is well worth it.

We’re definitely reaching an inflection point where teams are way overpaying for meh wings and ignoring the potential to develop good bigs into bigs that can develop a shot skillet and create a point of difference that’ll make a difference more andbe way more valuable than wings. Teams need to start investing in trying to develop good big man prospects into elite mismatches rather than thinking modiocre wings are gonna make some huge difference

Anthony Davis was a terror in the playoffs and was feasting against mismatches. But he can’t be played off the floor because he’s able to guard the perimeter while also locking down the paint. Just about every other big gives something up. Hopefully wiseman will be able to guard the perimeter, he has a chance to be able to.
