Many think I’m a hater of Klay when I pointed out all his issues when most people were still liked him and thought he was untouchable.
Now 80% votes for trading him.
Despite his shortcomings I am still open to keeping him for market value ie MLE or slightly above MLEx to at most $20M per just so he never wears another team’s jersey.

I wouldn't bring him back on a vet min, he has a negative impact on the team 4 out of 5 games. This offseason, it's time to mutually part ways.

Klay isn’t on the injured list. Can’t wait to see him go head to head with Booker!
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

the issue is not Klay alone but how him and wiggins are hard to play together because of the low upside. Lets be honest if we have OG (reliable 3) then klay would not be the issue since his offensive pressure will be much less and he would make more correct plays

Based off.. what exactly? Klay has always made dumb decisions even in his prime, the difference was that he was a tough shot maker (this is no longer the case). Klay has never made the correct plays in his entire career, that includes lineup with KD, Steph, Dray and Iggy who is pretty much the smartest 4-man IQ the league has seen in decades.

Yes if it hadn’t been for Wiggins Klay could have won the 2022 finals for GSW.

Has Klay started setting up for life after basketball? Does he have any interests for after playing?
He should start thinking seriously about it if he isn’t already.

5 points on 10 shots tonight. For now he's still at least spacing the defense out a bit but at this rate if we manage to make the playoffs teams are not going to respect his threat, and that makes life hard for Curry and Kuminga if Klay can't punish it.

We’ve been starting an anchor for 2.5 years. When are we going to bench the anchor and just try to win games?

I know Kerr isn't a fan, but I'm on the Moody bandwagon. He has length, he plays much better defense than Klay, and he can hit open shots. He allows Curry to go off. I'd start him ahead of Klay for a few games and see what happens. This isn't a time for egos; Warriors need to try and win every game at this point.

It doesn’t matter who starts, we’ve tried jp, moody, podz. They all work better than Klay. I’m sure Q would be better as well. It really doesn’t even matter if Klay finds his shooting that would probably bring him closer to neutral but why are we striving for neutral?

Re: Is It Time to Trade Klay?
Saw this in the Athletic. MDJ quote prior to the deadline. You can imply that he is willing to let Klay walk.
The legacy factor was a question for the Warriors at this trade deadline. Would the history of Klay Thompson or Draymond Green weigh into the decision whether to move them? Does franchise legend status take anything off the table?
“You know, for me personally in this situation, I’m always going to do what’s best for the organization moving forward,” Dunleavy said. “Based on that, that’s how we’re going to operate — whether it’s this deadline, this summer, in the future. That’s sort of my statement and feeling on that.”
Bob Myers, June 7, 2018: "“It’s not in my job description to please NBA fans. It’s to win, end of story. I don’t need to be entertained, I just need to win. That’s all it is. That’s all I was hired to do. Win.”

I wholeheartedly believe that the warriors hope Klay gets an offer and walks. They don’t want to be the bad guys who end the relationship. But at this point is Klay even worth the vet min? No he’s not. He’s not a leader, he’s not a mentor, his impact is being surpassed by g league players. Literally our best games are when he’s on his couch and yet he continues to start. At least Kerr finally is limiting his minutes. He played 24 last night.

Re: Is It Time to Trade Klay?
Klay is quoted in an article this morning being pretty open to sticking with the Warriors in a more limited role as he ages, the way Ray and Reggie did. Now, obviously he still thinks he's got some high level play left before being a backup, but I dont think Klay is as delusional on the topic of role/contract as fans and media have seemed to make up in their heads.
Kerr already has him down to mid 20 minutes when he's not shooting well. Guessing on a good shooting game he will be at 30 or so. Thats a step in the right direction. When CP3 is back I would not be shocked if Kerr experiments with our closing lineup starting (podz replacing Klay).
