You may be right, I haven't seen any protections but who knows.

Much like Harlem he can be a huge asset in the locker room. But yeah, I agree.

Read this article on the Clippers dysfunction in the Athletic this morning. They have a lot of work to do before they can trust each other when the going gets tough. Really makes me appreciate what the Warriors built pre KD.

Doc Rivers has always been more about his image in the media than the team. He's just done a better job at it than mark jackson has ... but similar people.

The Lue hiring was a joke, but at least he knows what it's like to "coach" a team he has no control over.

The way Kawhi was treated in Toronto and then how thirsty the Clippers were for him, sending their GM to watch all his games, no surprise that even Kawhi became a bit of a diva.

Personality-wise, he's pretty low-key, the opposite of LeBron.

I think the culture worked for the Warriors because Curry is so unassuming and that comes down to his upbringing. I don't like hyper religious people but Curry is humble so less likely to be diva. Probably why he was willing to take that bargain second contract, which helped the team build up the roster.

I wouldn't put it that Curry was willing to take a bargain contract. Curry's extension in 2012 was considered quite a risk at the time. He had had 2 surgeries, sprained ankles, including one a week before he signed, missed 40 games the previous year, most reaction at the time was that the Warriors were gambling that all that was behind him. There was no guarantee, though. The Warriors deserve credit for taking that gamble, which luckily paid off.

Kawhi was treated with kid gloves in San Antonio from the beginning, but when his uncle got involved he started doing the diva stuff there, that lead directly to forcing his way out of town.

I am hoping that the Warriors will finish around 6th or 7th in the West so they can keep next years FRP. Then I hope they shock the world in the playoffs.
