Yeah it's going to be hard for them to get rid of that deal.

His shooting percentages have gone down each of the last two years.

Kings are 4 games behind #10 Memphis and currently #7 in the draft order. Not impossible but unlikely to make a run for a playoffs seat.

They have to move Bjelica, maybe Holmes too, since he's a UFA after the season. Have to get rid of Hield's contract and make a decision about Bagley after this season.

They may have to attach picks to get rid of Hield.

Would say they could reboot if they get rid of Hields contract but Fox's contract is kicking in next season.

As a long time Barnes hater, Barnes is worth more than an expiring now. It only took 9 years but he finally became a consistent and positive player. Still not worth his contract but he's worth more than an expiring

Look, you act as if this a world-class sports organization (Which it has become, yes) that should expect to have the best players, top to bottom. Doesn't always pan out that way, I'm sure you know. Did you see this team do that last season? Or even this season with the signing of Oubre? Wanamaker? On paper, we all thought Oubre would fill in nicely, but it took him, what, 18-20 games to finally get into the groove? He's had some nice games, but he's still struggling with consistency within our system. And I groaned at the signing of Wanamaker while some of you really praised Myers for that "underrated/low-key" signing, but after a few lackluster games, he simply vanished to the end of the bench/rotation. You're simply living in a utopian world where things just need to align perfectly in order to have a successful campaign.

He might not have star-power and isn't a gifted scorer and shooter, but having another high-level IQ player (With a few limitations, yes) to play alongside Curry, Thompson, and Draymond and the 2nd unit certainly helps. I would still be in on a Rubio trade if it's about creating quality looks / passes to the open man on top of the arc or corner, or someone slashing or cutting backdoor to the basket, or throwing up easy lobs. But, if it's also about acquiring him in hopes to drive up his trade value, I'm all for that too, lol. There will be a market for pure PGs when the good, out-of-reach / out-of-price-range ones are all but been taken by teams that can afford them into their payroll. We're not that team for the next couple years, unfortunately.

I'd much prefer and appreciate it if you actually have your own input as to how this team can go about improving either this season or the next (Or both). Rather than trashing trade proposals/ideas, thinking maybe you had better ideas?

I just want to develop the young players. I don’t see the point in acquiring veteran journeymen. We’re not doing anything this year and since we’re capped out and can’t sign anyone next year we’ll only contend if some of the youngsters step up.

I get your point in wanting to develop the young players. But, do you think Curry, Thompson, and Green really have the time to wait a few more years for them to develop? If the team were a borderline lottery team to mediocre team, I'd be okay with that since they'd give all the greenlight for the youngins' to play and we'll see where each one's at, skillwise.

It's going to take 1-3 professional years for Wiseman, Mannion, and Poole, respectively, to see who they'll eventually become (Or not become.). If that's the given timeline for them to develop, the trio will be in their mid-30s (33-36 give or take) for them to make a impactful/meaning contribution to their rotation. They need help now in the biggest way possible if they want to really contend to the end the next 4-5 years.

For this season, though, Oubre will be our best shot to get any kind of quality player. But, his very slow start didn't help his stock value. But, I'm sure there will be suitors for his expiring. Just have to see what we get back in return.

Not our problem I know, but Sac has to get off that Hield contract to start building again. Or find some way to properly utilize him. He's a 24m waste of space right now with 3 more years on his deal.

We have a similar issue lol. Just kidding, at least Wiggins plays defense and we can keep Klay at the 2. I think if we gave Damian Lee the green light to shoot he probably would be scoring just as much as Buddy.
