Draymond, Wiseman, Kuminga
for
Sabonis.

Sacramento might relish the Warrior relationship (Mike Brown) and be excited to take on Wiseman and Kuminga.

Warriors solve the Draymond replacement task (really the best you can do when moving him on) by having a monster rebounding high IQ legit center.

Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Sabonis, Looney (might even play Sabonis at PF in a larger lineup).

maybe we will win a chip while putting together the worst defense in the league.

Defense? Seemed to help defend the Warriors last night okay.

Rebounding is a huge part of defending, and so is an effective offense. He'd dramatically help both.

But I guess we STILL don't have use for a 7'1 tall, 20 points, 13 rebound, 7 assists all-star. Nah.

Our bigs aren't the biggest problem, sabonis as a defender would create a different problem.

Our perimeter defense is the issue. They stink. Having sabonis trying to cover their blow ups will indeed make us worse defensively.

Ben Simmons + Seth Curry + 2023 / 2024 1st Round Pick / 2024 Unprotected for Jordan Poole + Draymond + Wiseman?

Draymond and Poole definite upgrade over both Simmons and Seth for Brooklyn. So, looks rather lopsided of a trade (What trade scenario isn't involving Simmons?), but that's why we ask for an 2023 or 2024 Unprotected 1st round pick in return.

Thoughts? Good? Trash idea?

Still think we should try to snag Garuba in a trade if possible. Rox already have Sengun and need to tank hard for Wembanyama. Garuba won't add a lot offensively (which is OK in GS system), but is already very good defensively at a young age, excellent rebounder, and good passer. Is there any way Houston gives him up for anything we have not including Kuminga and Moody?

Something around Wiseman for Covington? Maybe sign Favors or Whiteside to come in after that to ensure enough big bodies.
I bought a boat.

I'm not big on Covington anymore - I do like Kuzma, but not sure the Wizards are willing to part. Wiseman would be nice for their young trio though.

Kuzma is in his contract year.

He’s outplayed it so he’s probably going to look for $20 million or so a year.

That might be why the Wizards May trade him, especially if they fall out of the playoffs contention.

Could see Washington wanting to keep and re-sign him. He wins games for them on occasion and can slide anywhere from first to third option pretty comfortably.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

What’s it going to take to get ad? Klay, wiseman, jk and 2 firsts?

Really comes down to Lacob and Bob deciding if winning this year requires pulling the plug on the 21 and unders. Because defense is a major issue and I'm almost certain you could get:

Royce O'Neale for Wiseman.
Javonte Green for Baldwin/Rollins
Vanderbilt for Kuminga

Obviously would still have the poole/Klay issue... but our defensive capability instantly gets back to championship level with those 3 guys.

I rather trade our aging stars a little bit early rather than a little bit late. Getting stuck with their massive contracts when they have further declined is going to seriously hamstring us going forward. FO needs to make a difficult decision imo.

Loyalty to players is great but blind loyalty at the cost of wins is silly... and my loyalty as a fan wanes when already massively paid players won't take discounts to stay with their teams. I guess we will see what happens but anymore big contracts for Klay or Dray going forward and it's going to be a nightmare (Wiggins rep went up in my book by accepting less... Legend!)

Boston was right to trade Garnett, Pierce and Allen when they did. Time for Light Years Joey to make the hard decision, stay ahead of the curve and reload around Steph and Wiggins.

The question is... what are Klay and Drays value on the market today. Two years ago we would have got massive packages for them. Today, I'm not sure. Tomorrow/future good luck.

Right now I think you'd either have to attach assets, or get back a bad contract in exchange. Probably not worth it.

I think Dray still has solid value, especially without a long-term deal. Any team trying to become a serious contender this year would absolutely want him on their team.

Klay? You could probably get Russ. Westbrook or Wilson.
