I read it, how did it address Batum not wanting to be a Warrior?

See the posts by marthafokker and Sam Lowry Jr, which immediately followed yours, and echoed what I had said.

It’s been reasonably well-sourced that there was mutual interest between Batum and Warriors in the past, and no reason to suggest that would have changed.

All I saw was media speculation, nothing from Batum. What Batum DID say in the media was that he saw the Clippers as the best place for him and he loves playing with Ibaka and they talk to each other in french on the floor all the time. I think it's an extreme stretch to think the Warriors are any kind of lock to be on Batum's wish list.

1. Show me some examples where a player came out and said “I WAS going to sign with team X, but decided to sign with team Y on a minimum contract.” You’re basically suggesting that for you to believe Batum was interested in coming to the Warriors, he’d have to publicly say so, and that simply doesn’t ever happen, particularly after he signed with another team.
2. Show me where I said it was any kind of “lock” that we’d be on his wish list. (I said there was a lot of “smoke”, but if you think that’s a lock, you should realize that that ain’t what “smoke” means.)
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

1. All I said was that Batum would have to want to be a Warrior. There was chatter from "insiders" that he didn't want the Warriors before he signed too, and Steve Kerr said that the Warriors tried hard to get him and were turned down. Your contention that players never say they want to go to a team publicly before they sign is laughably false. It's commonplace for free agents to release preferred teams.

2. I said "any kind of lock" leaving some wiggle room. Your words were I think something along the lines of "It's simple, get Batum" and when I questioned Batum wanting to leave the Clippers for the Warriors you doubled down that he was interested in the past.

So, I'll say it again, I don't think the Warriors getting Batum or not is something the Warriors can just do ... I think it's unlikely there are many reasonable options for the Warriors to get him from the Clippers.

Let's go Mavs! That is my off season plan.

Great player, I'd love him on the court, but he seems to really be a diva and he's soft when things go wrong. He quit on Chicago, then he didn't like his new situation in Minneapolis and quit again. Then he didn't like Phila enough and he didn't resign despite having a great team, because he wanted to be first option, so he went to Miami. He objectively had fantastic season there and without injuries in the finals they may have even defeated the Lakers but this season he's quitting again.
With Golden State he would be second option at best and I'm not sure he would accept it. Also it would only take a few weeks before he starts hating Draymond and viceversa.

Looks like the Heat are about to flame out spectacularly, all in for Bam Adebayo? I doubt they want to get rid of him but make them an offer they can't refuse.

I'd rather see us trade for Butler while his value is comparatively low in case the Heat are looking to re-focus. I don't think Bam is worth the asking price for us, especially not with Draymond still on the team (where I want him to stay, just to be clear).

I think they are down on Herro too. Can we sign and trade Oubre and Paschal for Herro and Iguodala? (separate transactions)

I don’t think herro value dropped that low. If they want oubre they can sign him outright

Herro has supposedly been immature and hasn't been putting in the work to get better like they wanted.

That said, there is no way they are close to giving up on him.

Herro was never very good imo. I watched him in his "breakout" year and thought DRob was better.

Miami will have roughly $80 million in payroll after declining options for Iguodala and Dragic so I don't see why they would be sellers this off season.

Heat fans were repeatedly saying he was better than Klay when he was a rookie. They are strangely silent about it now.

If they do decline Dragic it would be nice if they can get him to come to the Warriors. Iguodala should probably hang it up and come work with the Warriors as a coach or front office.

I looked at their payroll and you're right, I didn't realize they were in such great shape financially. They have a lot of good options with the payroll being the way it is. Adebayo is really the only guy they are committed to long term and that contract will be a bargain.

Vasilije Micic

Can we get him? There is no point for him to play in OKC.

They'll probably test him out a few months and if he's good, trade him for pick

Not sure if they could do a sign and trade still with Oubre but if they could, trying to get DeMar Derozan for him would be an interesting get. Veteran presence who could either start of come off the bench at this stage of his career in the Iggy/Livingston type role since he can defend & Shoot the midrange.

Other players of interest - Bobby Portis who apparently has developed a bit of an outside shot & R Holmes who's a better version of Looney and won't hurt you at the charity stripe - assuming they could still be had for a mid level exception.

DeRozan is a FA this offseason. The Warriors can send out a player in a S&T, but they can't receive one.

I know that but I don't want it to be true.
