Well, maybe "put the final nail in the coffin" would be a better metaphor. The point is their season is hanging by a thread with zero margin for error, so any little thing (losses, obviously, but other things that lead to them) could be the end of it. They might not even need another factor, with Miami and Orlando coming up, their season could very well be over before the weekend.

While I would like to see playoff games, it might not be the worst thing to have it definitively ended, as a miserable failure for all to see, when thinking about resolving to make serious changes in the offseason.

Thunder are 9-1 in their last 10 games and are only a game behind the Warriors. Thunder will not likely be the 11th seed when the play in begins.

warriors can’t afford to lose games if they want to make the play in.
Who is easier to beat in a play in game, the hot Thunder or the Lakers with the refs rigging the game to Keep the LeBron stans watching games?

We need 7th seed to avoid playing Lakers and Thunder but we are a few games behind Kingsand Sunns.

If the Warriors fall behind Houston and miss the play in it'll be an interesting offseason. Not in the know with player contracts on the Warriors, is Draymond signed long term? If he isn't, might be the end of him on the team. Likely the beginning of the end of Curry's career. Only hope is Kerr going with and getting alot out of the youth and giving Moody proper court time. Not a contender anymore and not close really.

He just got signed to a 4 year 100m deal in the 2023 summer with the last year being a player option.

Well barring any change enough in Draymond, the team can't even remodel properly. Curry won't compete again in his career.

You forgot the 18 point 4th quarter choke vs Denver. IMO that one sucked the soul right out of the team. Based on everything that we've seen this year, I don't think they ever fully recovered from it. Like it just lingers in the back of their minds in the second half of every game. The game that finally killed the dawg in the dynasty.

Confusing Dallas with OKC which is like a little Dallas is understandable but Houston which I have never been to is something diffent.

Rockets are 10 and 0 in their last 10 and nipping at our heels for the last play in spot.

Rockets vs Warriors April 2nd is a big game that the Warriors will probably lose.

Two games against red hot Dallas are likely losses, one against redder hotter Houston likely a loss, likely a loss against NO and against Lakers could be a loss. Got to beat the Jazz and Spurs to have any chance of making it.

They were choking 4th quarter games at a rampant level way before that. It was a common theme from the beginning of the season. Which makes sense since the genius coach can't figure out 4/5 guys in minutes who average 36 years old are getting run out of the gym at the end of games.

The 10th seed situation is daunting. Have to play the Lakers in LA where they might get rewarded a 20+ free throw advantage.

If you win in LA you might have to figure out how to defend Durant+Booker+Beal in Phoenix.

I am more confident beating one of the top seeds in a 7 game series than the Lakers free throw disparity followed by another tough road game.

Track record is bad, but if they think they can go deep in the playoffs, then none of these games are sure losses.
