I also wanted them to blow it up, although we'll never know the outcome of that counterfactual. If we had done it last year or 2 years ago, we might be in the running for Cooper Flagg and have a ton of draft picks. And we wouldn't have any knowledge of this timeline. In fact, right now although we're in "feel good" mode for now, if we lose in the first round I think it's fair to ask if it was worth giving up that other timeline.

But having said that, I'm very happy Jimmy Butler was the outcome and we didn't have to give up anything basically. This is an infinitely better timeline than the one where "We don't do anything and see what happens".

Give me two in the hand rather than 3 in the bush.....I am now enjoying the twilight of steph curry's career and whether we win another title or not at least we're playing playoff caliber basketball again.
