This front office never had a high lotto pick before. So who knows if they're any good at playing games with other teams. Highest pick they've had was #7 Barnes? Or were they responsible for Udoh at #6 in 2010?

Nellie used to make it appear like he was some wiley fox. His record is pretty mixed.

This will be the franchise's highest pick since Dunleavy at #3 in 2002.

Whomever they select, you'd expect him to get at least 20 MPG if not more. They can't pick a project, they have to pick up someone who can contribute because of their cap situation. So he's going to play and have to contribute in some way.

If there's a question about the skill level of this draft class, get someone athletic who can get out and run, finish. Not necessarily an athletic freak so much as a body who can give them some good minutes, make some plays.

So kind of like HB, since he gave them size and athleticism to get 25 MPG 44/36/76 on a 47-win team which was rising towards title contender status.

His ceiling didn't turn out to be great but he kept getting more minutes and shot attempts as the team became great.

That would mean whoever they get would only be with GSW for 4 years on his rookie deal, unless he breaks out to an all-star player.

So get a player who could be a solid contributor right away on a team still with title aspirations or get someone with the highest ceiling who may not be able to contribute without big improvement such as rebuilding a jump shot?

Keep in mind, there won't be much time after the player is drafted before training camp and then the season begins. Team won't be able to work with him, either put a trainer on him or coaches to work on his mechanics or learning the schemes.

I would laugh profussely at a team drafting Lamelo over Wiseman, as long as it's not the Warriors. What a dumb ass decision that would be.

I'm one of the few that thinks Lamelo will put it together in the NBA and be worth the high pick.

I agree about Lamelo putting it together in the NBA but not for the Warriors. We're in championship mode. We don't have time for a project (as talented as he may be.) Lamelo is just way too raw. I wouldn't feel better for our chances of contention next year if we take him (the same applies to Wiseman.)

Create confusion. The pick is more valuable when you’re a wildcard and teams fall in love with a player and will try to trade up.

Confusion also comes from saying nothing at all. Unless they really want wiseman and they’re trying to throw everyone off that.

The other issue is that if they are trying to trade the pick they wouldn’t just outright disregard a prospect like lamelo when the Knicks are signaling that’s the top of their draft board. You would be saying yea lamelo is an option not we don’t like lamelo or wiseman.

Connor sure knows how to stay relevant during a looooooong offseason

All you need is a couple pretend *league sources*

You don’t even need pretend *association sources*

Its all BS.

Myers fully said today that they dont really get a feel for guys until they meet with them in person. Even a 1 player workout can give you some info you may not have gathered otherwise.

So since the Warriors draft on a concensus basis, it makes sense that they will want to interview guys, work them out, and really get a better fell than they have now about each guy.

So anyone saying they know what the Warriors are doing in the draft is just full of it.... And I've never trusted Betty in Accounting as a great source anyhow.

The more I listen to podcasts, read draft previews and watch videos, the more I think the pick is gonna be Haliburton. He’s kinda like a Livingston that can shoot 3’s. He can play back up pg or even next to Curry at the 2 can play right away. I can see Kerr loving him.

Kerr made a comment about Dlo being a ball dominant guard, and that he can understand fans questioning the fit, when you have Curry and Klay.

That leads me to believe that Kerr wouldn't be down for Lamelo, or a player like that.

Just a tid bit to throw into the Connor Leteurno dumpster fire.

If they draft LaMelo it’s because that’s who the Bucks want.

Lol......more and more, I just doubt the Giannis dream would happen. Mostly because I feel like Giannis doesnt want the label that KD got for going to the Dubs.

I tend to agree. Most likely not happening but until Giannis re-signs the Dubs are gonna stack assets.

the DLO experiment should have eliminated Lamelo from our big board

don’t know if this was ever posted https://nbadraft.theringer.com/

o’connor seems like a big time nerd that’s never played a sport in his life, so I don’t know how much I trust him, but I enjoyed reading through the scouting reports while on the crapper

Yesterday Myers was asked about the type of player you are looking for in a draft pick. He was asked if you are looking for an 82 game player, or a 16 game player?

Meaning a guy who they will groom throughout the season and maybe play or not in the Playoffs, or a guy who will be part of a playoff rotation. Myers clearly wants a guy who will be a solid contributor in the Playoffs.

To me, Wiseman, if picked by us, will assuredly be needed and used in the Playoffs. We won't be able to handle some of the elite teams without a legit lengthy 7 footer. Wiseman has the agiligty, athleticism, length, and growing skill set, to battle some of the teams with legit big men. Especially in our own division.

He has been posting workout pics on his IG and physically looks stronger than ever.

If we draft Wiseman I wonder how Kerr will play him. 20-25mpg? 30mpg? Wiseman has A LOT to learn about basketball still as he really only has High school & a month of college under his belt. Just hope Kerr would use him in the 82 games to master the basic skills we need: double digit rebounder, block/alter shots, run the floor, and any scoring from C position is huge.

If you want to have some fun. Watch my boy Pritchard from Oregon. This kid is a total bull dog, relentless, heart of a lion player. The kid is on go every minute on the floor.

Check this out, its so good. Notice his use of space. the way he uses his body against defenders to score. And his change of speed to get defenders off their positions. Kids amazing. If we land him somehow, casual fans will be blown away at how good he is.
