I don't mind if DD sits behind a bunch of players on this roster. If DD is a possible long term fix for the team as a SG/SF and is the best available player/prospect then I don't have much of a problem drafting him, even if he has to sit behind these guys in the beginning. Even if there were fewer players in front of him, he'd probably still sit on the bench. There were basically no PFs in front of Wright and Randolph and those two sat for much of the season last year. Maggette, Jackson, and more or less Azubuike are not long term players for this team, IMO, so let DD develop his offensive game and then by the time Jackson and Maggette are on their way out, we have this guy to fill in and shine.

I should also state that all of these comments are based on the assumption that this guy is the BAP for the Warriors at #7. I really do not have the background to tell who the BAP for the Warriors will be. Personally I'd like to see the Warriors get a new "boss" on the floor perhaps like a Flynn or Lawson. But I also think it can be a very big mistake to draft for need over taking the BAP. Maybe I kind of learned this after being on the Ike Diogu bandwagon a few years ago.

But Derozen sounds like a very intriguing prospect. He's got good size, athleticism, can finish around the basket, maybe somewhat decent getting to the FT line, likes to play defense. These are things you can't really develop. Unfortunately he may not be the best ball-handler and is not much of a passer. His shot, he can probably develop with some time, so that's not a big concern. Overall he sounds like a taller, better defending Jason Richardson (out of college - whether he develops a shot like JRich is yet to be seen).

DeRozan averaged 18-8 during the pac10 tourney and the ncaa...he turned it on when it mattered most...he'd go #1 or #2 next year if he went back to USC...no question he'd be the best talent on the board at #7...

No chance Nellie drafts him BTW...DeRozan would have been a classic Mully pick...

DeRozan is a PF in the league...He'd be the perfect replacement for Azubuike at that spot.

I really like DeMar because of all his athleticism (sp?) and Terrence Williams because he looks like a true player. I also believe Jrue has something special and Clark has potential...Just my opinion
