Wait... are you quoting your own tweet? As if having said it on Twitter makes it a more valuable opinion?

As if I don't want to write the exact same thing twice.

Love the thinly veiled attempt to build a brand online by quoting yourself as a source.

I'm sure that similar sentiments were expressed about Jahlil Okafor.

What does that have to do with Wiseman? I'm sure similar sentiments were expressed about Jokic, Embiid, etc. So what? Has nothing to do with anyone else.

If we offered Wiseman to OKC for Poku right now they would take it in 2 seconds. Hell, they might even throw in Lu Dort as well.

Um, no. Nice timing for the trade proposal though. Dort dropped 42 last night.

i would have plenty of patience if I see a young player that fits seamlessly into this scheme and the personnel...but I don't not have patience to develop a single-level C who doesn't fit this personnel or motion scheme.

that's the difference.

Well, Slater is now reporting that he is due to have surgery this week and will miss 4-6 weeks minimum which stinks for his offseason development but I see him as a more dynamic player than you do. If he turns out to be a Drummond type of C then I’ll agree that they whiffed on the draft but I think the team including Curry and Green see more in him. He already has a nice shot for a young big and when the game slows down and is he is more reacting instead of thinking he will be a plus on defense.

This whole thing is going to be laughable by next year. If you're upset about Wiseman not being the best "win now" choice, I can understand your reasoning, though I don't agree. But if you can't see the upside this kid has, I feel sorry for you.

it's a decision tree that I am not sure this FO worked out before drafting him.

1. is this player a great prospect? -> they thought yes

2. is this player a great fit here? -> i don't think anyone can make the argument that he is.

3. IF he is not a good fit here...is he good enough for us to sacrifice our existing system/scheme/personnel for his development? -> what is the answer to this question?

if you think he is that good, fine, I personally don't and it's a fundemental difference that I don't think we will agree on.

literally no one said.

maybe you should read the thread/conversation before constantly jumping down people's throats who don't always have their pom pomps ready when it comes to everything this team is doing.

If he is a mobile big that can face the basket out to the 3 point line then I believe he is a great fit.

If he is a plodding big that can only play in the post(Drummond) then he is a bad fit.

Drummond is not a plodding big, in fact Drummond is an even better athlete than Wiseman, and being a face up being has nothing to do with whether he's a good fit in this team or not

but if you think he's a great fit, awesome. hope u right.

Wiseman has some very good tools. He is very athletic for his size.
But he has some flaws at least from my perspective.
He has not very good lateral quickness and that affects his defense,.
In offense, he does not want to pass the ball and in general he seems to not understand the game well yet. He is more individual good.
He maybe get better with the time.

In my opinion Warriors should consider to draft Mobley with Wolves pick in this draft. Mobley seems to be a better team player, better defender and more skilled. I think he will fit better than Wiseman.
Wiseman+Warriors pick could be used for a good sf. From the draft or a veteran

The scary thing is that I think Wiseman would be lucky to be as good as Drummond.

Look at their rookie numbers:

notice the usage difference, too, there's no way around it...Wiseman is a high usage single-level C...at no point in time has a C like this EVER been utilized in this offense.

i don't know how anyone can say Wiseman's a good fit in a free flow offense, when you have to specifically draw up plays just for him to get involved in the offense, and well the defense speaks for itself at this point.

it's just wild that people on this board know these concepts but people runnin the show don't...very disappointing.

These were the basis of the decisions, can't convince me otherwise:

- We losing Durant, lets get a young asset back in DLo
- DLo stinks and only team that would want him is Minny for KAT, let's get the best package we can
- Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Green are locked in, we need to add a C, oh and a top-ranked player in draft is a C
