Yeah Marco has found the home we all thought he would with the Spurs. The Bulls are kicking themselves for not bringing him back, as he was real good for them last year.

I think Marco is being groomed to take over for Ginovili at some point.

Would love to have Marco back here....He and Brandan Wright could come back and I'd feel real good about it.

This season, Klank is just a little better than Marco on the Spurs. I'll give you the D, but Klank is the streakier one.

Win shares
Klank - 5.1
Marco - 4.4
Paul George - 9.0

TS%
Klank - .543
Marco - .617
Paul George - .561

Win shares on a team like the Spurs is... suspect. Marco's -3 RAPM this year compared to Klay's +1.5 is a bit more telling. Danny Green is a much better comparison from that same team.

Yees, now people are favoring Marco over Klay? Come on now, we had first-hand experience with JellyBelli, what more do you need to know about him?

He's a fine player that has played good enough in the best system the NBA has seen in a decade. For as much hate as Klay gets, when he hits shots (not even when he's on...just when he hits) we rarely lose. I don't know the numbers there, but once he gets around that 45% shooting mark in a game we're hard to beat. Conversely, if he **** the bed and so do Curry/Lee we lose. Team game, send your hate elsewhere because Klay shouldn't be the target of it. He's improved an absurd amount in a couple years.

The next step he takes will be to stardom. And y'all hate because he's not already a star...c'mon!

Marco...no bueno. I think the best he has ever shot was in the one Summer League game LOL. Never been THAT hot again unfortunately.

Well, it's the converse of "when he hits shots (not even when he's on...just when he hits) we rarely lose" that makes Klank the weak link. If you upgrade his position, then you improve the team the most. Let's say the best SG is James Harden, so if you replace Klank with Harden, other things being equal, then the team has made the most improvement.

Sure, if we threw in Lebron over Iggy, or perhaps Griffin over Lee, or even Durant over Klay then the team would make an improvement.

So, how do we get Harden, or Lebron, or KD, or Griffin then???

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here.

I'm saying that upgrading Klank will give the Ws the most improvement for their buck. You can put in SG shooter types like DeRozan or Afflalo and the team will be better imho.

People are star struck by Klank with his potential. He's not all that. I think he's reached his ceiling or close to it. Otherwise, I wouldn't be saying shat.

BTW, I think if you replace Klank with Harden, the Ws would be better than HOU and have a shot at a championship. Harden would be a real Splash Bro.
