I got laughed at a bit on the Draft boards, but I still believe this hot take:

Kuminga will be more NBA ready than most think. I get that he's a project in terms of potentially becoming a star, but the kid is physically ready for the league now. And he's had NBA coaching for over a year, with NBA mentors like J Jack. IF he can simplify his game a bit, I see him being much more prepared for his rookie year than most.

He really needs to work on his shot. Just found out he idolized Kobe when he was younger. I was wondering why he was jacking up shots when he hits like Willie Mays Hayes.

Kuminga can play man defense, rebound, and run the floor now. Everything else he needs a lot of work on. The thing with that is that there are players who can and will only ever do those things that get paid year after year after year. The magic is in what he can become in 3 months, 1 year, 3 years, etc.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the last sentence. If we simplify his role, he can be effective. If we give him the Wiseman 'roll the ball out there and make it work baby' approach, he will look like an idiot.

I'm impressed with his defense. He's very physical and has super quick lateral movement.

His jumper will come around. His FT tells you all you need to know...nice rotation and wrist...

For the first time this off season I'm fired up.

I'm loving Kuminga's footwork. He likes to drive the ball to the rim and do all kinds of spin moves, pivots, eurosteps, etc. inside the paint.

Yes it looks sloppy, but I see the potential. With experience he could be that guy who could get you a quick bucket in the paint when his team's shots aren't falling. He's shown some good passes inside the paint, too. Could be a guy who drive to the rim, draw a double team, and either score inside (with either power or finesse) or make a good pass after drawing the double team.

GSW got a great rookie duo in someone with slashing and post ability (Kuminga) and shooting (Moses.)

Edit: Also love his quickness in combination with his length and athleticism on his drives. He can start with the ball on the outside, yet his long strides and footwork get him to the rim with ease.... and considering he'll have a ton of spacing inside with Steph and Klay on the perimeter and he'll have great looks in the rim.

On another note, I wonder how he'll do if he's on the floor with Wiseman. Wiseman is a lob threat so perhaps it could improve Kuminga's passing game when he gets to the paint, draws the double, and either throws the lob to Wiseman or a simple pass inside to him.

The drive-and-dunk tonight honestly gave me Giannis flashes.

Excited to see how he progresses.

Based on the discussion in this thread he could be Giannis X Kobe.

Anything less and I’ll be disappointed.

I think the hardest thing we’re gonna find for Kuminga and Wiseman is Kerr’s style of play and their responsibilities within it.

Welcome Kenny Atkinson, Jama Mahlalela, and Dejan Milojevic. They are with the Warriors to help Kerr maximize the roster in both development and scheme.

I think they mix them in with the vets at the end of the first, start of the second and again for the 2nd half of the third until the closing lineup comes in. How they mix is going to have to be figured out with time.

In many African languages, Kuminga means either "Thing" or "Thorns".

Then we have this from the Bangla language of India. Oh dear.

So should they play this when he enters the game:
