Re: Free Agent Talk
If contending teams are interested in him, why in the world would he consider the Warriors? Not that I would want him.

Blake could potentially be a much better version of Paschall's role. But i'm not sure this is really the year to worry about a potential marginal improvement over just letting Paschall keep getting minutes.
Doesn't matter though, if those are the teams interested, he's definitely not coming here.

Bay Area is a legit spot, may want to play with Curry, we can also offer up to 9 million more than anyone, we’d be in the playoffs and competing but not a lock so maybe if we win this year or next it would feel more legit to him then joining the nets or defending champs.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Sounds like Griffin is going to the Nets. I wonder what other players will get bought out? Drummond is a possibility if he doesn’t get traded.
The Warriors have that Disabled Player Exception so they can offer a buyout candidate a good salary compared to other teams.
For buyout candidates, they’ll likely be choosing between playing time + more money from the Warriors or chasing a ring for less money(and potentially a smaller role) on another team.

But they don't need more money, they're getting paid by the original team. The more the Warriors would pay them, the less they collect from their original contract, though not entirely. In rare cases they can total a little more than the first contract. Just about the only reason a player wants to be bought out is to join a contender.

Ahh that’s right.
Well, the Warriors might be able to offer a bigger role than a contender....which could potentially help that player get a better contract this summer. That would be my selling point if I’m the Warriors.

I've always liked Otto's game, so i'd be on board with that if he's healthy.
Steph / Wiggins / Oubre / Otto / Dray would be such a fun lineup defensively.

Of course Porter has been damaged himself. Played 14 games last year, 16 this year, hasn't played since beginning of February.

Re: Free Agent Talk
He can't defend. Not that Wanamaker is a great defender but he doesn't get targeted like Cook was.
Plus can he run the offense from the top of the key, move the ball? He could dribble about a half dozen times to create a little pull up for himself. He shot a high percentage from 3 but would not put away a lot of good open looks on clutch possessions. Unfortunately, the same affliction that Lee and Mulder have.
