Not from me.

As a fan or based on something tangible?

Based on the fact that it means nothing as far as cap or roster construction is concerned. Tax only concerns the bill-payers--when they say no more, that's it. I haven't seen any sign that they feel that way yet.

I think that starting this year, between full houses for basketball, concerts, whatever else they have going on at Chase, the tax will be a minor consideration.

With absolutely no hesitation

Yep.

And actually the team is better than this looks, because it would have Poole coming off the bench, and he’s not even listed here.

I've been wanting Thaddeus on the team for awhile now. Getting Thad would be a dream off season for me

The more I think about that trade, the more I see how HUGE it would be for our offseason.

Getting Thad for Oubre instead of nothing would help a lot with our depth

Whether you are a "keep the draft picks" guy or "go all in" guy

"Keep the draft picks"
Curry/Mitchell(#7)
Klay/Poole
Wiggins/Ennis (vetmin)/#14
Green/Thad/JTA
Looney/Wiseman
plus a TPMLE vet

or

"Go all in"
Trade Wiggins, Wiseman, #7, #14 For Ingram, Lewis Jr
Curry/Lewis Jr
Klay/Poole
Ingram/Ennis (vetmin)
Green/Thad/JTA
Looney/TPMLE Vet Big

Which one would you guys prefer?

Unfortunately there are two issues there. One, Thad was a legitimately useful player for CHI this year. Given they're a win now team, I'd be surprised if they shipped him out. Two, they have enough cap space to sign Oubre outright if they want to. Sign and trade is needlessly complicated for them unless they really want to do us a favor or really want to move Thad. Neither are very likely.

I'm surprised a Bulls fan recommended this? And we get two picks on top of it? You do that 100/100 times.

Now that Kawhi is probably out next season, are the Clippers more inclined to deal PG?

I’ve been wondering the same thing.

(Note: obviously predicated on the current speculation that Kawhi tore his ACL…..)

"ACL injury" could just be a strain. Not sure why it would take days for them to say what the doctors said, but oh well. Kawhi and injury issues go together well.

There seems to be something brewing in Dallas that might cause discontent w/ Luka.

Personally I'd be alright with a trade of:

Wiggins + Wiseman + Minni Pick for Doncic once he's signed his Supermax w/ Dallas. I do believe that should be a pretty strong package for Doncic. While I do want more size on the team; a starting 5 of Looney, Green, Doncic, Klay & Curry should entice the Ibakas & Gasol type big men from last season to be willing to sign for Mid level exceptions for a shot a championship.

Dallas is not going to trade Luca. If anything they just got rid of everyone for him.

Normally I'd be in agreement. But if you see whats going on there:

Donnie Nelson out - Luka really liked him

Bob Voulgaris getting more power - Luka DOES NOT like him - in large part because he's in disagreement w/ the decisions made by Voulgaris.

This has the makings of a disgruntled superstar wanting out once he's signed his super max. I'm sure Dallas will do everything to placate Doncic but having the people he doesn't like in power is likely only going to make the situation worse.

Only fix for Mavs to not piss off Luka is for Cuban to fire himself. Good luck with that.

The Celtics are imploding...

https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/06/celtics-trading-kemba-walker-to-thunder.html

The Celtics are trading Kemba Walker, the No. 16 overall pick in the 2021 draft and a 2025 second-round draft pick to Oklahoma City for Al Horford, Moses Brown and a 2023 second-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

I'm not sure I quite get it either. Horford has 2 years left, Kemba 3 years. So they're trading a near lotto pick tax to shave a year off? I kinda get it and they do have time (Brown is 24 and Tatum is 23), but I don't see how they improve that roster moving forward without doing a Paul George/LAC type deal.

Year and a half technically. Horford's last year afford some flexibility

They must value Moses pretty high though

probably because they haven't drafted anyone of note in the middle of the draft so Brad is like 16 is worthless to him

I like the Boston trade.. they saved a lot of money with the trade. Kemba just didn't work since he was injured a bunch. Horford should still be fine as a small ball 5. Boston got so many draft picks in previous years and most of them just don't work or really you can get the same value/production from a g league player that fits their system better.
