Harris had a bad series, but he's a career 43.8% 3 pt shooter. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the Warriors, but I doubt he can be had for cheap.

Wonder if he just had a poor series or he has a severe case of Mulderitis

Or we can just draft Kispert or Duerte for less money

Really? Can they shoot 47.5% from three in the NBA like Harris did this season?

Probably in time. It took him 5 years to reach that number.

Always should be wary of a guy who takes 3s for half of his shots yet struggles to put up positive offensive metrics.

Its not a damning thing for sure, but it should at least raise some eyebrows:

Joe Harris (ORPM / OBPM)
2021: -0.60 / +1.7
2020: +0.46 / +0.4
2019: +1.39 / +0.8

^^ this is where he's supposed to make his hay, and metrics are supposed to love perimeter shooters who can stripe - Steve Novak lived on the top of offensive metric rankings. Again, not to say Harris is a bad offensive player, but its a legit question why the metrics dont think he's very impactful despite his high 3%

So you would take one of them who might get there in 5 years as opposed to Harris who is there now. That makes sense. It doesn't really matter since there's no chance the Warriors could get Harris anyway.

Apart the fact that free was referring to acquire him not to his salary, it was a figure of speech.
You don’t have to always take everything literally....

I can only read what is written.

Would you be happy with him on vet min deal on the Warriors?

on vet min yes, but that's it.

the problem I have with harris is the fact that he showed good things on a below average to average teams in non-pressure situations. as soon as the bar was raised and the pressure increased he melted-down straight away like a low quality ice cream. he's supposed to be a sniper (and that's all, the rest of his game is below average. he's not good on D, he can't dribble nor handle the ball, he doesn't have court vision), but when you are a sniper and cannot knocking down shots even when you have open looks because of KD and cryrie getting all the attention you become pretty much useless. I mean, an hampered jeff green showed up more than him in the series against the bucks, offensively and defensively.
love at least can spread the floor as a big man, can rebound, and last time he played in the playoffs he was able to hit some shots if left open. so if I had to pick one of them, I'd pick up love.

This. See this poster is actually seeing the big picture.

We are all remembering the 3 point contest where Harris got the recognition. But all you have to do is watch playoffs and you'll see a guy that needs the perfect setup and lack of frenzied playoff ball to hit his shots. He's not clutch...and therefore he's not going to offset the defensive liablities.

I would rather have JJ Redick than Harris. Sorry...but Redick has at least shown he can hit big shots and that's really all we need...a guy that can set up and hit them when we need them most.

I like Joe Harris on this team a lot. yes he has a bad series but he is still shooting 40% from threes in the playoffs. As a 4th option he will fit right in.

For the right deal, it should be available. Ideally it would be used in a trade to upgrade from Wiggins to an All-Star level wing. I'd be open to other deals as well, but matching salaries in a deal not involving Wiggins might be problematic. And note: most of us, including myself, do not consider dumping Wiggins contract using a good asset as desirable – Wiggins is overpaid but fills a need and has been solid for us.

Having Wiseman makes this question a lot more interesting. Not to mention having Poole.
We have two young guys....one really young project.
Because of that I would definitely take the kid out of Miami, Duncan Robinson or TJ Warren out of Indy.

But I'm one of the Warrior fans that would prefer a legit roll player/two way guy over the promise of another rookie. I think we are kind of split on that.

I'd love this deal.

I am down on Joe in the playoffs.....but that was comparing him to Kevin Love.

I would trade Oubre and our 14th pick if we could get Joe.

Curry, Klay, Joe, Wiggins, Draymond....that's a pretty pure small ball lineup.
or
Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond, Wiseman (hoping he's legit next year) if needed.

You could S&T Oubre, if he agreed, but not to the Nets.

Like Xdrta said, the Oubre sign and trade would hardcap the Nets which is something they can't do. So unfortunately it's not going to happen. But other teams like the Spurs and Knicks seem to be interested. Knicks have some guys we can go after that can be role players I think.

Knicks have 51 million in cap space, they're not doing any sign and trade when they can just straight sign him.

Same with the Spurs, they have a projected cap space of 49 million.

I've been wrong before, but I'd be surprised if there are many teams with capspace willing to commit multi-year $ at a high number to Oubre. Its likely just the agent trying to drum up interest as maybe he has a team sniffing around his client.
