As long as we're at it, 20 man rosters, no player allowed to play more than 72 games, and replace the lottery with teams from worst to best drafting another team whose draft pick they get the next year, and add a 4th ref, and make the 3 point line the same distance at the corners, and bring it back to gather step-step-travel rather than the gather-step-step-travel it is now, and call the foul on the offensive player when they are the ones who create the contact.

Honestly I'd really like to see that NBA.

What obvious thing did I miss?

And move the games outdoors so fans can bring pets.

KOC says they are interested in moving up and they like Kuminga and Bouknight.

Elaborating a bit - Memphis may make an additional deal to move further up (from 10) in order to position themselves for Kuminga or Bouknight.

In other words, they’re looking to trade to 5, 6, or 7.

What deal would we want to move from 7 to 10?

They have like 18000 useful rotation players. If we can get two of them, why not.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I think the top 2 I’d look at would be Bane and Tillman, and Clarke interests me as well. Paschall’s salary would go back to them, probably also Mulder and/or Lee.

Man, Memphis really came up there. I think Adams > JVals, Bledsoe isnt entirely useless (though expensive), and they moved up 7 picks for the pleasure. I guess they moved down 11 picks in the 2nd, but thats pretty much it for the upside on the Pels side.

Pelicans remain a mess. May as well see if Ingram is available

Lol no.

2 years ago maybe. This season Val just put up near 18 and 12 while Adams was 8 and 7

It's not even close

JVals had him last year because the NOP system entirely broke. Adams still a good defender, JVals still isn't. And its gonna look worse now that their 3/4/5 is Ingram/Zion/JVals

But fantasy wise sure, great move. I'd rather win though, and you cannot win without good interior defense. Pels took a step back defensively after already being a bottom 5 team defensively.. this is a Mullin-level move

Everyone seems to be hating this trade for Memphis, but I like it.

I get that they had success last year and Val was fantastic for them. But let's be honest, they probably aren't jumping into a top 4 seed in the next couple seasons with Val. Not to mention he's an expiring at the end of this next season, so may be gone anyways.

They are keeping their eye on the ultimate prize, which is stacking talent around Ja's timeline. Moving up from 17 to 10 this year is a big move if they have a player targeted they think can be a serious piece of their core.

Not to mention they got the Lakers 2022 pick in this deal too.

For the Pelicans, I think this is a terrible move on its own, but sounds like part of the goal was to get to a capspace situation to try and sign kyle lowry or someone like that. Which I also think is stupid because they are trying to rush success with Zion instead of building a younger team. Kyle, Zion, Ingram, Val, Lonzo isn't a team that is going to make a deep playoff run IMO.

I’d take Bane/Tilman/10 for 7/Mulder, Smiley, Lee, and if necessary for salary EP

Curry/Poole/GP2
Klay/Bane
Wiggins
Green/Tilman/JTA
Wiseman/Looney
2 way- Mannion
+ 10, 14, TPMLE, and vet mins

Memphis had the #6 overall defense last year and had borderline elite defenders all over the place.. they were the best perimeter defending team in data tracking metrics.. they were decidedly below average inside except when Clark and Tillman shared the court. With JJJ coming back and a need to shore up interior defense, this is a great deal for them, clear logic using advanced metrics. Huge win.

Pels gonna score 110 and give up 120 but itll be a fun watch

Bane + added protection on our 2024 1st (top 20)

Or

Bane + Tillman

Otherwise they can see if OKC/ORL wants to move down (lol)

Lot of Lakers trades being discussed. First it was Kuzma and Harrell for Hield.

Now, it's Kuzma and Harrell and KCP and a FRP going to Wizards for Westbrook.

So now will Beal hang around?

Washington actually looks a lot better after the Westbrook trade with Kuzma, KCP, and Harrell(honestly surprised he opted in for this trade)
