Me too but only bc I don't want Morey's grubby hands near our precious rooks

Yeah, I just don't want to give up any of our young guys. I dgaf about the picks as long as they're protected. (plus we can only give up '22 and a 1st 2 yrs removed from pick owed to Memphis anyways!)

Wiggins + Looney + protected picks for Simmons (waive his trade kicker). I'd even throw in the fake 2nd from CHA and the protected 2nd we got from Utah... cause I'm a nice guy.

The weakness with our team would be we're relying a lot more on OPJr to be healthy and/or the rookies to be positives.

I don't want to give up Kunminga, and whereas before the draft I would have given up #14... that was when I thought we were gonna get Moody at 7... not @ 14. Since we have Kunminga AND Moody, I'm not interested in giving up either one.

Philly can have the salary relief (wiggins for 2 yrs instead of Simmons for 4) + picks and like it.

How it can work with Simmons + Draymond and floor spacing?

Simmons at C: Simmons, Draymond, OPJr, Poole, Curry (obviously Klay is in there when 100%)

Simmons at SF: Belly, Draymond, Simmons, Poole, Curry

If Wiseman's shot is strong, we could even pair him with Wiseman when Draymond rests.

Think there's a lot of options. Throw a couple million at Mike Gervais so that by playoff time Simmons performs adequately and win the title.

This is intriguing. I wonder if we're involved with this in some way.

What about this 3 team trade:

Sac outgoing: Barnes/Bagley/Haliburton/1st rounder
Sac incoming: Simmons/Mulder

GSW outgoing: Wiggins/Mulder/2nd rounder
GSW incoming: Barnes/Bagley

PHI outgoing: Simmons
PHI incoming: Wiggins/Haliburton/1st rounder/2nd rounder

Barnes only has 2 years left and his salary decreases next year. Bagley adds size to GSW's frontcourt and they can take a flyer on him this year. Kuminga and Moody should be able to replace Barnes' production once his contract expires.

Sac finally gets a young all star and clears the logjam at PG. Philly gets Simmons' replacement, and a very good young PG and draft picks for their future.

The deal would have to grow significantly. I've wondered whether Charlotte would consider moving Hayward for Wiggins. Not that such a deal would make us any better.

I can't really guess what the deal would look like. Warriors S&T Oubre for ... ? And the Hornets have room to sign Oubre so why do the Warriors need to be involved? Also supposedly the Hornets want Markannen from the Bulls ...AND Oubre?

Seems like a lot of talk about who knows what in reality.

Don't shoot the messenger but I thought Warrior fans might want to see the tweet about Ben Simmons.

Ehhh it's a fake tweet or at least a crappy source. I wouldn't put much into that.

Markkanen is a restricted free agent. Presumably, Chicago would be compensated for not matching. Not sure why the Warriors would even need to be involved. On the other hand, maybe Wiseman is in play to Charlotte. They were supposedly interested in swapping picks with the Warriors last year in order to draft Wiseman. Could Wiseman be headed to Charlotte and Markkanen coming our way in exchange?

The source is unreliable or is the source total science fiction?

Wouldn't that be a hell of the second unit backcourt. Make it happen Lacob, all it'll take is pulling out that 300 mil pocket change tax bill.

That's prohibited by the CBA. "There can be no compensation given to a team in return for their submitting or not submitting an offer sheet, or for matching or not matching an offer to a restricted free agent."

How will they exchange Wiseman for Markkanen straight up money wise?

We need a capologist to explain whether Oubre's S&T could make up the dollar difference.
