I'd rather him take less shots at higher efficiency. You don't get points for strong effort or willing spirit, you get points for made baskets.

Somebody needed to take those shots, down Steph and Wiggins and Poole was struggling

Don't think he was just out there chucking for no reason

His 39 shots came at a significantly higher clip than our team FG%.

What a miserable ass take.

You should save your comment for when he doesn't make 21 of 39, which 53.8%. Your usually not going to get higher percentage from Klay. The 39 was a career high in attempts so you probably won't see that many again if ever.

When Klay is a hot, you don't complain. When he is not, then you can.

Yeah, almost 54% overall, and 47.6% on threes, but that's not efficient enough for some people. Take less shots and lose, is that the plan?

I literally do not know what the other option was last night. Force feed Ty Jerome and Mr. Peanut Butter and hope they both go for 20+? Klay going bonkers was the only way we were pulling last night out.

Exactly, who else should have taken the shots in the lineup for the most recent game ?. Poole took his share of shots with much poorer efficiency, but the two of them were basically it as far as volume scorers were concerned, I wouldn’t even criticise Poole overly for taking so many shots, although his turnovers were less defensible.

Going to Klay was of course the obvious play. I find it a wonder that there are people who would voice reservations about Klay being a 2nd man when there aren't many in NBA history who actually have a record to match him in such a role. That said Jerome and PBJ have already shown a hot hand at times. In a truly desperate circumstance I wouldn't put it completely past them to be able to produce.

All depends on whatever he did in the last game. That's how we decide things around here.

Oh you must live for him to have bad games so you can come to this thread and talk trash.

You care more about being right than the Warriors winning.

Klay is a mediocre player ever since coming back. Lost quite something in defense and also his efficiency is worse. However, he regularly plays heavy minutes and often enough takes the most shots.

That is not a winning recipe in 2023 anymore. And a large enough reason why this team is not going anywhere this season. Sorry.

He'd be a great bench guy....wonder if that's in the cards at all.

He's around the same age Iguodala took on that role. But one gets the feeling Klay isn't going to acquiesce as readily. I imagine he's still smarting from the top 75 snub.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had a great quote from when he was an elder statesman with the Lakers. He said something along the lines of "You never really lose it as you get older, you just can't bring the A-game every night anymore". This rings more ture for Klay than anyone else now.

Some games Klay will be dynamite, then the next he'll play like a soggy loaf of bread.

Were just gonna get a mix of Klay and Klank.... just depends which one were getting night in night out. It's bearable if he was still good on defense to offset bad shooting nights, but when he ain't doing both.. :banghead:

The idea that all of a sudden he is going to be a new player in January is ludicrous. He will continue to be inconsistent. To his credit, he did have a lot more strong games lately.
