I feel like I'm moving more towards Karaban. Need a wing shooter.

Damn, he's 25. I guess that fits the timeline.

He's fun, but my guess is he's another Duarte.

From what I hear he's probably returning to school anyway. Dude will be 26 by the time he is drafted.

I'm pretty sure one of Thiero, Byrd, Evans, Darrion Williams or Marković will be on the board when the Warriors pick. I like all those players.

Re: 2024-25 NBA Draft Talk
They can't have a FRP this year. They're #18 in reverse standings, so there's no chance of them getting a top 10 pick, which would revert the pick to the Warriors for the 2025 draft.

The rest of the picks in the Butler trade include the Warriors' 2031 2nd-rd pick going to the Pistons, along with the Warriors receiving the Heat's 2025 2nd-rd pick, which will be at #41.

It's a robbery. If not for the Luka trade, it would look even more ridiculous. If we weren't going through the abusive relationship that was the Dennis Schroeder experiment, I think we'd all be even more optimistic at the time of the trade. I thought it was a great trade at the end time but not 25-7 good.

Curry, prior to Butler's first game with the Warriors, was scoring 22.7 ppg.
Since Butler's first game through last night's game, Curry has scored 27.7 ppg.
Team FT% prior to Butler's first game: 72.0%
Team FT% since, including the play-in game and last night's game: 82.2%
Moody might have the greatest jump in FT%.
Before the trade: 72.5%
After the trade: 87.7%
Yeah, that trade was a steal in so many ways.

Re: 2024-25 NBA Draft Talk
What are the chances Pettiford is available at our pick or close enough that we might be able to maneuver our way up a few spots to get him?
I’ve been really high on targeting Clayton to fill a reserve PG role (with chance of being future starting PG), but with him moving up the boards, Pettiford may be someone that has an even higher ceiling than Clayton. Pretty sure if he returned to Auburn he would put up numbers like Fears did only with better shooting.
Wtih Clayton I get high end glimpses of Dame or Brunson but more consistently see Prtichard type impact in the NBA.
With Pettiford i see alot of Jennings or Lou Will but also see glimpses of a more composed Garland/Conley type game.
Now those are just aesthetic and play style glimpses, where they actually end up is up to them (and i should mention I LOVE both of their personalities and character traits). I definitely think both are NBA rotation players worth drafting to fill a future PG role.

He'd return to school if he's going that low. I think he absolutely needs a first round guarantee. He'd likely get $2M in NIL by returning.

Great point. Funny enough he’s one of the main featured NIL players for Under Armour wearing Curry Brand and he’s a Curry Camp alum. I’ll wear the tinfoil hat and pretend we promised a Trayce/Bronny 2nd round guaranteed deal if we can’t move up because Steph thinks he’s the real deal.

Can we guarantee a max 2nd rd contract?

I mean the problem is we can’t guarantee he wouldn’t get picked ahead of us in the second round. Even if he did think we’d give him a deal. That seems messy. I’ve been high on Pettiford all season so if it were up to me he’d probably be a Lottery pick.
