I wouldn't doubt if the two camps of "trade wiseman now!" and "i'm pro Wiseman but would move for an allstar" aren't that far off when it comes to actually making a deal.
Perennial all star like a George/Embiid/Beal etc?
Fringe allstar like an Ingram/Simmons etc?
elite role playing vet like Myles Turner or Marcus Smart?
2 or 3 rotation players the level of Covington/Nance Jr/Josh Hart etc?
Me personally, I would definitely trade him for Myles Turner or Marcus Smart. But to get into that next tier, it would have to be 2 or 3 role players I love and even then I doubt that exists right now on a team willing to make a deal.
Boucher + future considerations is the lowest, because in terms of what we need, a win-now player, and salary purposes.. its a good fit. But we'd be sacrificing the unknown, high upside future of Wiseman for the current effectiveness of Boucher. I think its an outlier though as there are very few other scenarios where I'd do this, mainly because players of Boucher's age typically have larger contracts
If not for him though, if we're calling Myles Turner an elite role player, then I guess that's my minimum. I could conceivably be on board with the rotation players if they were ideal fits, if their contracts weren't expiring, and if we make other moves that make them make sense.
Wiseman is not some sacred young piece that we should be afraid to move. The minimum deal you'd take is a consistently moving target based on so many variables.. but if he's not ready to be a positive contributor next season, or if we don't think he is, I'd be willing to move him for a lot less than the people obsessed with his former draft position, for sure.
