Will Barton declining his player option, will be UFA. The injury history scares me, but always liked him as a player.

He was always a Warrior-killer, so there's that. I don't know what kind of shape his injuries have left him in.
EDIT: Of course, he's opting out of a $14.7M option, so I don't know how the Warriors could sign him, anyway.

I think he's been over-rated for a while. I don't really like his team game.

Lowry or Conley would work, but I'd worry about them being healthy when it mattered most ... also they will get more than the Warriors can offer.
As long as we are dreaming (and I'm not going to suggest Dinwiddie) Derrick Rose is out there.
But really it depends on the draft. Realistically if the Warriors take a playmaker at 7 the free agent playmakers will shy away.
Here's the list of PGs who are Unrestricted Free Agents (Sorted by age on this one):
Meh, isn't a strong offseason of available PGs. Only ones I see we can sign via MLE or really go for are Jeff Teague, Derrick Rose, and Spencer Dinwiddie because they had experience as leading PGs for their respective team at some points in their careers, and their stats in the last few years were respectable. The others just aren't really pure PGs, are injury-prone, inefficient offensively, undersized, still unproven,.. just to list a few inadequacies from the pool of free agents. We just shouldn't sign any PG who showed a bit of promise and just ends up being a dud (e.g., Wanamaker). Honestly, none of them fit the mold of our past backup guards.
Frank Ntilikina isn’t on that list because he’s restricted but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Knicks don’t offer him his $7m QO. Depending on what else we do I would take him on a 1 or 2 year deal for maybe up to $3m. I’ve always loved his defense and he looks like he might have figured out his 3P shot.

He's a PF now, doesn't have the athleticism to match up with 3s anymore. Vet min I'd do.

If we're going for old forwards, I think I'd prioritize Jeff Green over Gay, because he's more of a ball-mover than Gay and I dont know that Gay's defense is much better than Green's at this point.

Yeah Green was a key rotation player for the Nets, 27 MPG and 49/41 shooting, one of his best shooting years.
Made $2.7 million so may be looking for more or maybe still ring chase and stay with Nets.

If that Oubre for Dinwiddie trade was actually on the table at the trade deadline, they screwed up by turning it down.
This discussion would be way different if we had his Bird rights.

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Coulda been the 2nd coming of a Bogut trade but the price woulda been extraordinary. Plus not sure if he’d be happy in a 6th man role.. but I’d be way more willing to part with Wiggins/Poole if we had Dinwiddie. Would have to be for a SF, but still

Re: Free Agent Talk
Justise Winslow is now a FA, for all those who wanted him after seeing the Iguodala to MIA trade. He's probably going to be looking for a 1 year prove-it deal, and might be down to ring chase with us
He'd add some handles to the 2nd unit and, if we draft shooters, we really wouldnt need him to do much in the way of scoring. For example, if paired with Moody/Poole/Wiseman/JTA, that could be a solid 2nd unit

I would take winslow in a minute. But the winslow archetype is why i shy away from his defense is spectacular. Chris singleton was the same way on this board. You have to be able to score to be where he was drafted
I prefer a secondary ballhandler and you aint going to pitch me that Moody is going to be it

I like Winslow as a player, but can he stay healthy? I don't want more injured players in the roster, we have enough.

Re: Free Agent Talk
I read that Bledsoe is expected to be bought out. What are people expecting him to do after? Could he be a good pickup at the vet min? That way we don't need to draft Mitchell if we already got a more experienced version of him.

Actually very on board with this. Bledsoe needs to rehab value and we do really well at that. But that's a *ton* of salary to buy out (2 years, 37m). I would think that if DLo can be moved in this league, Bledsoe can be too.

Re: Free Agent Talk
Tony Bradley non-tendered - a solid enough, cheap young big who could come in, rebound, and catch lobs. Nothing special, but something we could use?

Re: Free Agent Talk
Also Isaiah Hartenstein didn't exercise his player option for Cleveland. I'm not sure what his market will be like. But he's a big body that can play forward and center. Decent pick and roll and pick and pop player.
