He said he still loves Wiseman and feels like he will be an All Star. He says that it will be up to Wiseman to be able to hit threes enough to get teams to come out and respect him out there, which will help spacing.

But overall he said he loves everything about him.

I heard Wiseman interviewed yesterday and they discussed the Warriors taking him. By all accounts he’s a smart kid who hungry to learn. He said he would probably mature faster playing with the Warriors because of the veterans and the focus on winning.

To me, I work to secure Wiseman. So my trade talks start with Minnesota. I think a future pick and then possibly an adjustment on the pick protection for next years pick.

I don’t see Minny being as bad as this year, next season. So moving the pick protection back somewhat might be something that helps get the move done.

That’s what I would do. No idea what the Warriors are gonna do.

If Wiseman is the target, GSW doesn’t need to do squat. They just pick him.

I wouldn't be so sure. I don't think they'll take Edwards. They'll be turned off by his lack of shooting. I think Ball is a possibility and they might realize that Wiseman is the best player and just do that and go twin towers and move KAT to PF.

You just said lack of shooting with Edwards and then mentioned Ball lol

Ball is a worse shooter than Edwards. And Edwards has the body to guard NBA players on the wing. Ball would have trouble guarding a fence post.

Well, I said he's a possibility. I think they SHOULD take Wiseman. Actually, I think they should try to trade the pick for Beal, but if they keep it, they should take Wiseman, IMO. One negative about Edwards is he seems like Wiggins 2.0. Can't imagine the Wolves want to do that again.

The worry is not that Minnesota will take Wiseman or whoever the Warriors like best, it's that they'll trade it to someone who DOES want whoever the Warriors hope will be there for them at #2.

Edwards jumper to me fits in the small category of prospects that is "i know the percentages are bad, but it can be a great NBA jump shot". With hard work, he could become more than just an average shooter. The form is hard to guard, consistent, and incredibly fast.

Most guys with his percentages have forms that you hope develop into a passable catch and shoot 3point shooter. With Edwards, his shot has superstar potential. Dude can get that shot off anywhere. That is where the Harden, Lillard and Mitchell comparisons come in. Whats different than Harden and Lillard is that we have not seen the results they had already seen in college. So thats on Bob and team to determine what his work ethic is to get there.

It's definitely worrisome that the biggest questions on Edwards is assuming he can do things he hasn't shown consistently.... Will that shot end up falling? Will he put in effort on D consistently? That second question is rarely a yes for players not doing it in college (why i dont like the oladipo comp... Dipo got AFTER IT on defense in college).

Every time I look at mock drafts I find myself wondering what the people doing them are thinking ... clearly they don't invest the time to have a reasoned opinion about every team when they are not even trying in the top 5.

Silver is talking about delaying the draft, free agency and next season.

Reason is, they want to start the season later if it increases the odds of having fans in the stands. IOW, they don't want the bubble if they can avoid it.

Dubs have no worries at all, unless they only want one guy in the draft. I doubt that the Wolves take whoever the Dubs want, and the Dubs probably want to package the pick anyway. I trust that Bob will do the right thing. Should be fun to watch.

Makes me believe even more MIN is going to take a hard look at him next to Russell.

Edwards is More sturdy and a better athlete... but he’s also more sturdy and athletic than Klay.

The Wolves are not gonna take anyone but Ball if they keep the pick

Trying to trade up to secure Wiseman is dumb as rocks as a move

The Warriors will likely pick either Wiseman or Edwards, I think Lacob prob wants Wiseman and Dunleavy and the rest Edwards (that's my guess)

I'd take Toppin

My opinion has always been to start the season on Christmas. And that’s something I would continue from here on. Also would think hard about a 60 game season.

I’m not against starting in the bubble either. Seems to be working just fine. But for the teams outside the bubble, it’s been extremely unproductive.

You’re adamant about Ball based on pushing the ball and playing a faster pace, right? If you have another reason I’d love to hear it.

Because both Ball and D’Lo need the ball in their hands. And both will allow 20 to a fence post. So defense doesn’t even factor into the discussion with those two.

You can still push the ball with Edwards, who can also get off just about any shot. He at least has the body to play defense and is a guy who can work off of D’Lo.

Just curious for your strong opinion. And you might be right.

A package centered around the Knicks taking on Wiggins contract, the #8 pick, Mitch Robinson, etc; Would that be enough for Ball?

Going to have to add in a Future first.

I'd rank those 4 for the Warriors Wiseman, Edwards, Ball, Toppin.

Toppin seems like the kind of player that has driven me crazy for decades as an NBA fan. That said, Ball and Edwards are ball dominant one dimensional players too.

He means the Knicks would have to add another future first, not us.

Wiggins wouldn't be included. Just #8, Robinson and a future first for #2.

How about Knicks 2021 1st top-5 protected, then top-3 protected, then top-1 protected, then unprotected?
