Big men like that wont be there at 29/30. They always rise on draft day, and playoff teams know the value of having a quality big body off the bench.

Machado I like, but you would be depending on Machado and Jenkins to run the show when, not if, Curry goes down next year. To boot, unless a true C like Ezeli or Melo falls, we'd be running who as our C if Bogut misses a few games?

Bottom line is that while Deng is a great player, we still have only one solid interior defender. We still have only one PG, and even that's being generous to Curry's playmaking. Positions may be filled but there are still certain skills that we're very weak at. While Deng makes us better, he doesn't address any of our biggest problems. Getting a mid-late 1st where we have a shot at a player like Marshall, Melo or Ezeli (in that order) would make this deal a lot easier to accept.

I say no on Deng. His injuries will make him miss the first part of the season and he sucks on offense. I looked at his numbers on offense and even Dorell Wright was more efficient.

Over Deng? Deng is a much better defender than Gay or Granger. It's not even close.

Trading for Gay is a disaster, Granger would be decent, but a healthy Deng is still better. I would worry about Deng's health in making a deal though.

If it was just Deng for #7 and Wright or something similar I'd probably say no. But having someone take on Biedrins is a blessing and I'd be all for it.

Thanks for the link. I agree that the trade is unlikely, in that all trades are unlikely. But the particular evidence in that article is basically non-evidence. Teams tell players they don't plan to trade them all the time. And whatever they tell them, they tell them to *say* they were told there are no plans to trade them. We saw this all before with JRich.

Holy shat, this trade is too good to be true. Seriously. I think I just wet myself. I think some guys around here underestimate that albatross that is Andris Biedrins.

Who is that guy, and why is his opinion credible? I think I would rather we can get rid of Jefferson or Biedrins at least.

This would be fantastic if we could package those picks and snag Fab Melo or Royce White. Home run for sure.

I think I'd rather just use the pick on a big man than get Deng. While Deng is a great player, I don't think he's the cherry on top of our sundae. We're not talented enough nor deep enough to take on another big money contract. Plus our window with Bogut and Deng is two years. With Deng being possibly injured for the first part. Right now I'm leaning towards no, but if we can't land MKG by trading up and someone nabs up Leonard before we do I may be tempted to revisit this deal.

+1.

If MKG drops, take him and run.

If Drummond drops, trade him to Houston for #14 + #16 and get 2 guys on the order of Henson, Leonard, Harkless, White, Terrence Jones, etc.....

If Lillard / Waiters are the guys who are there, do the Chicago trade in a heartbeat.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Is it true you guys would prefer the chucker Deng over Mr.Efficient Andre Iguodala??

Deng averaged 15 shots a game on .412 percent shooting. Iggy-10 shots a game .454 percent shooting .394 shooting from three and to go along with that 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

That poster has talked to some of the Bulls Mods (not me) & told them that he has a source close to the action. The Bulls mods that he spoke to believe him.

On the other hand, I dont remember him ever reporting a trade or event in advance that actually happened.

Our 1st unit would be solid with Deng, and I'd love our rebounding with adding Deng next to Lee and Bogut. I'd be too concerned with our backups situation after this though if we can't draft or sign any quality depth.

On the fence with this rumor.

I prefer Iguodala to Deng, but if its Deng +29 i'd prefer that to just Iguodala. So the difference isn't much.
