If we have to tank in order to avoid the Pelicans in the first round, we don't deserve the championship. This is an awful suggestion.
We will have no problem beating them with Cousins in the line up

Don't get it twisted. The Spurs are by far the toughest matchup for the Warriors in the West. I actually wouldn't mind if the Clippers or some other team can somehow knock them off.

It would be favorable to avoid facing them, but part of me actually wants to face off against the Spurs so we can shut up any and all naysayers.. put our "stacked" team to the test. Beat the Spurs, beat Cavs and all of them can't say sh*t!

We're not going to get much for Curry or Durant since teams know they are getting the max. No one wants to risk paying that kind of money for middling talent. Stupid Meyers

How can we compete with their 2 behemoths (all star mvp) with our 4 all stars? That window closed really fast ... /green

But tbh they will be a handful to deal with in the upcoming years. It's a good thing we got our own 7' monstar in KD.

Time will tell with the Pelicans. If Davis and Cousins can work cohesively with interior passing and picks they could be trouble. That being said, they'd have to be the absolute best versions of themselves to beat the warriors in a best of 7. Can't see it happening. Gentry will have to develop the perfect game plan offensively and defensively for it to even go 6 imo.

Are you secretly a Warriors player, coach or someone from front office? If not then you shouldn't say we. And why the hell should the Warriors tank to avoid an 8th seed team? That's what pussys do. In fact I want Warriors to face fully healthy playoff mode 4th best team in the 1st round, fully healthy playoff mode 3rd best team in 2nd round, fully healthy playoff mode 2nd best team in WCF then the fully healthy playoff mode Cavs in Finals. That's what real alpha males would prefer, not this weak beta **** avoiding 8th seed teams.

All of them would say that it's no big deal to win with such a stacked team and how unethically it was from us to form it. So let's stop giving a damn about what others say and just keep beating who's in front of us.

lol, we will f*cking smoke them.

despite some of our losses this year, i have no doubt in my mind that we are the greatest team of all time. some say time will tell, but I already see our greatness. this team will belong on NBA's Mount Rushmore of teams.

Oddly, although perhaps not so oddly given it is on the General Board, it is being argued that GSW is an unfair team because they acquired Durant, and have as a consequence killed competition in the NBA for several years, but are simultaneously at substantial risk of losing in the first round to the Pelicans.

I will await events myself.

I agree with that mentality for the players.
For me as a fan, I would find it immensely satisfying to beat the Spurs and Cavs and would remind other fans continuously about it.

I'm not afraid of any playoffs opponent that gives Cousins serious minutes. He's a top5 talent who will find a way to lose. That's his MO. People compare his personality to Draymond, but I find them to be opposites with superficial similarities.

Anybody would find a way to lose in Sacramento. He's finally playing with a legit star. Lets see how things go now. They could be amazing. Think next year they should be a top 4 seed.

Looking at the standings now, the Pelicans are only a few games out of the 8th spot. They're capable of getting that spot. The Warriors' lack of big men could be a huuuuuuuge problem if they do face the pelicans in the first round. Even if klay goes off for 30, cousins and davis are both capable of dropping 30. It will be an interesting matchup
