I'd like to see Bogut start the first and third quarters; his passing and screen setting when both Klay and Steph are in can be a big weapon, plus he and Dray have some type of telepathy going on defensively. After 5-6 minutes, Bogut will be gassed, so bring in Looney as our energy spark and to enhance our switch-everything defense. Use Cousins at the start of the second and fourth quarters when Steph and Dray typically rest and just hope that he can provide enough offense to compensate for his defense.
But alas, none of this will happen unless you can overcome Kerr's tendencies.

I'm not sure I feel that firmly, but I really would like to see more Bogut. I think we have a tendency to overreact and try to adapt our really high caliber team to match the opponent or what they're doing. But it has been a consistent problem that we're not stopping Toronto from scoring, while our best defensive center is sitting on the bench. "But Gasol will float at the 3 point line and pull him away from the basket!" ... okay. And in doing so, pull himself away from the basket. I can live with playing 4 on 4 with no centers. "But they'll put him in the pick and roll!" ... okay. The pick and roll wasn't invented 2 weeks ago, and people have played centers for a lot longer than that. It is a challenge, but I'm not sure why we suddenly decided that makes centers unplayable. And if they want to zone up, I don't hate the idea of having a center that can pass well, catch lobs, and score opportunistically in the paint.

Re: NBA Finals Game 6: TOR @ GSW
Another do-or-die game. What an uphill battle this squad has been facing, for weeks now really. Yeah, the Portland series seemed to be a bit of a pause in that uphill battle, but each of those games required big efforts. I have no idea what happens tonight and/or game 7, but I do know that I love our squad come what may. Champions!
When KD went down in game 5 of the Houston series, and it looked like an Achilles injury initially, I really though "well, that's it - what an amazing run but it's over barring some miracle." It took a few extra weeks to solidify, but indeed KD was out but for a few (amazing) minutes of game 5. And it's not just the devastating KD injury - it's missing a game of Klay, it's missing all kinds of time for Looney, it's trying to get much more than ought to be expected of a rushed-back Cousins, it's rolling the carcass of Livingston out there every night (he's fighting with everything he has, but his body has had it), and it's Igoudala playing through stuff that he never would be playing through if he was a younger man still worried about his career. We've been playing this series missing some 30-50% (depending on the game) of our major rotation pieces, and yet our guys are still alive! Remarkable.
Nothing would surprise me with our squad. Take games 6 and 7 and claim that 3-peat? Would not surprise me. But they have already shown their heart, they've already proven themselves over and over again. No regrets, whatever happens. Champions.
Go W's!!!!
P.S. Hoping that KD feels a little less pain tonight as he watches his teammates push this series back to Toronto for game 7.

Dray Green RunTMC jersey is the only one that has won games this finals, so that's what I'm wearing.
Also, game girl pics are fixed now, I think. At least for a little while.

I think Looney has been our best. Unsure if he can play tonight. But I do agree Bogut is better defensively than Cousins right now.

Re: NBA Finals Game 6: TOR @ GSW
Key to Game 6: Ball Out. That is all.
If they can some how some way pull it out, Game 7 would be epic. But let's face it, they are up against the wall hard and pretty much everyone is going to not only have to step up but excel to win this.
One very troubling thing is the ref crew, specifically Marc Davis. When he refs the Raps this year, they are 9-0. When he refs the Dubs this year, they are 3-5. And...Draymond.

If we lose the game, I'd like to win the fight for once. The one thing this team has never dealt out is much physical punishment. Putting the playoff wood to the Raps could put things on tilt.

I think Looney has arguably been the best overall, and has been the best we've seen defensively since Bogut was glued to the bench. But if you ask me which one is a better defender, I'd still vote Bogut. And he does have the advantage that his chest isn't broken.

A 95 yr old Bogut would still be a better defender than a prime Demarcus Cousins.

The bench needs to provide a spark at least one game this series and it might as well be tonight! Play hair on fire defense and get some buckets in transition/scatter ball opportunities. Let's go Warriors!

Go Warriors... win or lose...take no fricken prisoners and take the fight TO the Raptors....I won't fault them for anything other than coming out passive or careless with the ball.
Go Warriors!
