My expectation would be 10 pts, 7 rebounds and 1 block per game. His size should make him an easy double double provided he moves his feet on defense and avoids early foul trouble.

Man...for the number two pick alot, and I mean alot, you guys are pretty much saying he is going to be David Robinson in his final year when he retired cuz of minutes and shots.
I think he likely is going to be Royse to lack of shots for both Ball and Edward's, thus I expect a little more than 8ppg and 8rpg

I think I'd be happy with like, 9 pts / 6 reb / 1 blk in 18mpg (and probably like 4 fouls per game lol).

Basically, his per minute numbers will look good, but he'll be too much a foul magnet to get more than 20mpg.

I think he's going to get a lot of lobs from Steph and Draymond, and some easy putbacks on rebounds, so I have his scoring a bit higher. Maybe 3 lobs (6), 1 jumper (2), 2 putbacks (4), 2 freethrows (2).

23 min
14 pts
9 reb
2 blk
1.2 ast
1.4 to
3.8 pf

All I want is progress through the season with flashes that show his drive and that he's getting it and getting it right.

As some others have mentioned, we need to be prepared to watch a guy who is not going to be ready to contribute much meaningfully early on. That’s not a knock on him, just a product of his lack of playing time at the last level coupled with our lack of practice leading into this crazy year.

I think we also need to be prepared to watch him play more minutes than he really should be due to COVID. Players are going to test positive, and he’s going to play heavy minutes at times due to necessity.

This is probably the way I see it as well..... but I think his first half-season / second half-season splits will be something like:
First half of the year: 16 minutes/game, 6 pts / 4 reb
Second half of the year: 24 minutes / game, 12 pts / 8 reb
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

His body type reminds me of Willie Cauley Stein and Javale’s. Javale is more explosive, but lacks stamina and focus. So his year 1 would model after theirs. Ideally he could be a David Robinson, that’s where I could see his topside, but I think David Robinson is naturally better. Wiseman could be better, will need to train more.

So they start out by missing games because of the Rona.

I have high hopes for Wiseman, but I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves expecting a 19 y/o who hasn't played high level basketball in almost 18 months to be a 25mpg player this year. He's probably a 15 minutes a night off the bench guy at least for the first month or two.

Don't really care about the numbers. If he can defend the rim without too much foul trouble and finish lobs/putbacks/run the break I'll be happy.

DIdnt Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, and Embiid all sit out their rookie year and still produced when they got back? Has it really been 18 months?

IMO there's a big difference between sitting out a year with your professional team and getting the benefit of a year of coaching/practice/familiarity with the system v. trying to learn a new system cold after a long absence.

18 months was definitely off though, he played his last game at Memphis on 11/12/19 so it'll be 13 months and change.

I think he convincingly wins Rookie of the Year over 2nd place Lamelo

10 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 blocks
35% from 3pt

Wow OK, that is a shocking prediction. I'd be very surprised, but I hope you're right!

If he plays 20-25 mins a game, then it's a win. That means he beat out Looney (unless he's hurt which would be bad) and to a lesser extent Chriss.

12 pts 8 rebs @ 25 mins a game and 8 pts 6 rebs @ 20 mins a game.

He's going to have difficulty staying on the floor for foul trouble. Kerr won't keep him on the floor if he can't play solid D. It's going to be an adjustment for Wiseman to figure out how to do so without getting called for fouls.

It's more like him attempting one 3-pointer a game (ala Kerr's request of him) and making one in every few games :D

It's pretty much a given he'll be worse in the first half and better in the second, although I think his rebounding rate will be high pretty fast. First of all, we don't have a lot of other great rebounders on the floor with him who will compete for rebounds (Draymond will snatch a few away), second we will play at a fast pace (I'm expecting top 3 in the league) so more possessions and more potential rebounds, third the majority of the time he's going to find himself both the tallest and the most athletic guy on the floor.
