It's a **** awful choice that every bit of evidence would go against, but screw it. No doubt in my mind there's either an incredibly inept or severely depressed person running analytics for the team

I'm hoping it's second option used loosely just like how many confused wiggs as the second option in 2022.

Steph was the first option. Poole was also the first option when steoh was off. Wiggs took the scraps but wasnt used as a standstill 3 and d. The 2nd option was more of a committee approach.

Last year wiggs got nothing run for him (he basically stood at the 3 pt line and missed shots for 2 months) I think we see an uptick in plays and touches compared to last year, but still not see the usg of a traditional 2nd option. Imo, I think it'll be jk in a poole like role. Jk off the bench for 30 minutes with a top 3 usg and shot attempts.

If we go full defense around steph (which we should):

Melton, wiggs, dray, and tjd..then technically wiggs would be the second option.

Kerr today about Wiggins

If Wiggs has a sense of freedom and some peace of mind and his family behind him, which he always does, he's an unbelievable human being and an incredible athlete, and he's 29. He's right in his prime. So I just think this is going to be a great year for him.

To me, I've already told him: six 3-pointers a game.
He is a really good 3-point shooter. It was down a little bit last year, but since he’s been here, 39, 40 percent. I want a lot of 3s and I want a lot of attacks to the rim. He shot 80-plus percent from the foul line in the second half of the year last year.

He looks really comfortable in every aspect of the game. And let's face it, with Klay gone, we need him to step up and be our second scorer after Steph, and we know he's perfectly capable of that

Apparently he had respiratory bronchitis. He's scheduled to return for the Lakers game.
