Re: Message to Joe Lacob
The Warriors have, at their core, one of the most amazing, loyal, humble, drama-free superstars to ever suit up in the NBA. What a great guy to build (or re-build) a team around. One of the team's rookies just finished First Team All Rookie. Ownership has shown a willingness to spend like no other team in the League. After clearing Klay's and CP3's salaries, the team will be approximately $28 million below the luxury tax cap. The team doesn't have any bad contracts on its ledger. Meaning, if need be, even more can be cleared by parting with Wiggins, GP2 and/or Looney. For the first time in years, the team may have access to a full non-taxpayer MLE. The team has more financial flexibility than it has had in years. After this year's draft, the team will retain all of it's picks until and possibly including 2030. Lots of draft capital for all kinds of potential trades. Despite all these positives though, some folks posting here appear to be projectile pooping their pants. Give it a break...At least until after the draft. Otherwise you all are going to have an enormous diaper bill.

He is not going to do anything...the fact that he is putting up with Klay and Wiggins for last 2 seasons says everything you need to know. He is good with not making playoffs and die with the roster we have

He signed Klay 5 years ago when it was a no brainer and Wiggins deal was a steal at the time. Both good moves.

i am not talking about contract i am talking about knowing what your players are capable and play them based on abilities not names. Klay is not good Wiggins has not been consistent so why dont we trade them before the entire league knows they suck and non tradeble now?

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

My message to Joe would be to have Steph never wear another jersey, to trade Draymond and let Klay walk.

Re: Message to Joe Lacob
One time I sent Joe Lacob an email. This is what I said:
This is what he wrote back:
Mr. Lacob, I love this trade. I know a lot of fans are down on it, and it must have been gut-wrenching to lose Monta (and Udoh, who I love as a player), but the ceiling is high. I had some serious doubts about where the team was headed, but I'm a believer again.
One suggestion that your group is probably already on top of. Look hard into Mbah a Moute. I can see GSW-MIL Part 2.
Take care,
-evan
This is what he wrote back:
Thanks Evan.

I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

I wrote Lacob 2 emails:
1st saying i was disappointed with him getting booed after the monta trade.
2nd saying: Nobody’s booing now (after 2015 title).
Both times he just said thank you.

Can either of you write to Joe and say the fanbase is ok with Klay walking? Please and thank you!

It's part of the rise and fall of a dynasty. We've had a better run than most and I'm not going to be too critical of an owner that's spent ungodly amounts of money to keep it going as long as it's gone. I expect the majority of NBA owners would have blown it up prior to the 2022 championship. Meanwhile, the owner of my favorite baseball team has his team slated to play in a minor league ballpark in the outskirts of Sacramento.

He already has and will continue to do so. Definitely going to lose value once 30 is gone but he’ll still make money

I just hope that CP3 and Klay are gone this summer...nothing more. Without Klay we were +6.8nrtg team last season.

Re: Message to Joe Lacob
As long as Steph is on the team the picks won't be in the top 3, and until the picks are that high it's very unlikely to get another generational talent. And as a Warriors fan for 45 years I can say that high picks do not directly result in titles either
The reality is that the modern NBA rules mean the Warriors are stuck in purgatory to some extent.

It is 100% self-inflicted if the Warriors choose to stay in purgatory

I agree if Klay wasn't on the team last year we're probably a top 5 seed.

Sort of. What they can do right now is reasonably limited. If they do a complete purge it would be flushing hundreds of millions down the toilet ... not that it's not an option, but if it would be the best option for the organization is an open question.
If they are going to tank they should tank hard.
